🇳🇴 Norway ✨

…quite a magic place!

I’ve always dreamed of going there, but never made it happen! Thanks @carolinewaregeorge for taking me there!

Great to share some time in the mountains with locals @hildedrok and @simon__tks

🇳🇴 Norway

Some trips expand you. Others reveal where you’ve been holding yourself too tightly.

This one did both.

During a sharing circle at Sister Summit, we spoke about contraction and power. I realized how much of my life exists in the tight tension between the two.

Leaving Olivia for the first time since Adam’s accident sent my nervous system into full protection mode — inflammation, inability to digest, endless “what ifs,” with violent weather outside mirroring the storm within. As a solo parent, I often feel caught between my love for the mountains and the fear of what it could cost if anything happened… and yet, what arrogance to believe I can control the future.

But somewhere in the chaos, instinct returned. The mountains demanded presence, not fear. And with that came a quieter, steadier kind of power — not the hardened version of strength I learned to embody to belong in mountain culture, but something softer, more grounded, more whole.

That’s what moved me most about Sister Summit. A space where softness and strength coexist. Where care, collaboration, emotion, nourishment, and vulnerability are valued as much as performance and adventure. A space that didn’t ask me to betray parts of myself in order to belong.

I think many of us carry the exhaustion of trying to fit into spaces that were never built to hold all of who we are.

This felt like the opposite of that.

It felt like coming home.

Deeply grateful to the women (@caronorthofficial and @hildedrok) who held space for every color of me, to @lentinealexis for reminding us that digestion is not only about food, but about life itself, to @gennaholgate for asking the questions that keep resonating long after the trip ends, to the beautiful @hedvigwessel and @lexidupont for creating the space I had been searching for all my life, and especially to little love, @oliviageorge_3, for trusting me — and to my supportive in-laws for giving me the space to leave, explore my current edge, and slowly return to myself.
