To all female photographers out there: who can relate?

Didn’t mean to become my boyfriend’s personal travel photographer… it just kinda happened.
One minute I’m out here enjoying the view, the next I’m crouched in a bush yelling ‚WAIT, STAY LIKE THAT – THE LIGHT IS FIRE.‘
I take pics of mountains, forests, sunsets – but somehow his face ends up in half my camera roll.
Not mad about it tho. He’s basically the main character in a documentary he didn’t ask for.

Unpaid? Yes.
Unqualified? Definitely.
Unbothered? Also yes.

What makes wildlife photography special?
.
Seeing wildlife is truly a magnificent experience. Trying to capture them in their natural habitat is a whole different story. It’s even more fulfilling—not only are you trying to spot them, but you’re also aiming to tell a story: the story of these beautiful species.

But it’s not all just fun and games. There are often times when you sit in a forest, waiting and waiting, and nothing happens. Then, out of nowhere, the animal you’ve been hoping to photograph appears for a brief moment and vanishes again. Only for you to realize that none of your shots were in focus. These frustrating moments make the reward all the more satisfying.

Discovering the amazing tre cime di lavaredo in the dolomites.

A place we absolutely loved during our trip to South Tyrol. We can highly recommend to do this hike all around the tre cime di lavaredo. Special tip: go there in the afternoon, as this means less people and the best light for your photos.

- visit Nyhavn at sunset. It really gets crowded, but the light simply is amazing!
- take a bicycle to explore the city. If you want to cycle somewhere: this is YOUR city :)
- Stop at Skt. Peders Bageri for the BEST pastries you ever had in your life (we took them on the way and made a stop in the beautiful Ørstedsparken

Part 1: My photo collection full of favorites

Capturing the northern lights has always been a dream for me. For now I didn‘t have the chance to see them more in the North, so far I‘ve just seen them at the horizon. As you can see in the second slide: they were even perfectly visible with the phone (and that photo I haven‘t even edited hahahha). I feel so grateful to be able to see this in my life and I really hope to see them again 🥹

Where to photograph in the DOLOMITES

our secret tips for your adventure in this beautiful region of Italy: the Dolomites in Trentino Alto Adige / South Tyrol

- avoid high-season (July-August). We‘ve been there in September. It still was crowded but especially in the evening we were able to explore places like the Lago di Braies completely alone.

- bring your sunscreen and don‘t forget your sunglasses. You will spend so much time outdoors enjoying the amazing views.

- Don‘t miss the most delicious food: Kaiserschmarrn and Knödel. Soooooooo good after a long hike! We tried it at the Chemnitzerhütte and it was simply perfect!
