Screening of ‘Self Portrait talking to the Artist Ben Cove; The Revenant’ was an intimate contemplation, held in discussion with artist Melanie Cove afterwards.

Simone Marconi’s film flew us in to Venice on a micro scale, seeing industry and cyclical life from a plant POV. ‘Docile Sodom (Where-Does-It-End?)’ began the show before it opened.

What a joy to participate in the attentive discussion that followed. Thank you to Simone and Melanie for your mooring and to those that attended.

ROSA ORSA prende forma all’interno di Palazzo Rosa, edificio che conserva le tracce della propria storia produttiva. L’architettura non è semplice contenitore delle opere ma parte integrante della mostra.
Ogni lavoro agisce come un dispositivo capace di modificare la percezione dello spazio.
Macchine che continuano a muoversi senza produrre.
Luci che non indicano più una direzione.
Suoni che costruiscono architetture invisibili.
Materiali che ritornano a vivere dopo essere stati scartati.
Disegni che trasformano gli edifici industriali in paesaggi sospesi.
La mostra costruisce un ambiente unico nel quale le opere dialogano senza gerarchie.
Lo spettatore attraversa uno spazio nel quale ogni elemento sembra appartenere a un tempo differente: passato industriale, presente percettivo e immaginazione futura convivono nello stesso luogo.Le opere di Ado Brandimarte, Daniele Di Girolamo, Stefano Ventili, Marzio Zorio, Simone Doria, Iacopo Pinelli e Simone Marconi attraversano scultura, installazione, suono, luce, performance e disegno costruendo un ambiente condiviso in cui la materia si muove, la luce orienta e disorienta, il suono genera luoghi invisibili e il corpo diventa misura dello spazio.

I FUMI DELLA FORNACE. FESTA DELLA POESIA
VIII EDIZIONE

Durante i giorni della festa della poesia di Valle Cascia sarà possibile visitare le mostre “Castelporziano. La spiaggia dei fantasmi. Foto libri e riviste dal primo Festival Internazionale dei Poeti” e “Rosa Orsa”.

“Castelporziano. La spiaggia dei fantasmi. Foto libri e riviste dal primo Festival Internazionale dei Poeti”, parte della rassegna Corrispondenze dalla Villeggiatura, a cura di Andrea Balietti, Gloria Falasco e Roberto Capozucca (Collettivo Rubber) @andrea__balietti @gloriafalascoheiko @sibilla.rrcc @wearerubbers. Castelporziano 1979: Primo Festival Internazionale dei Poeti. La storia dell’evento vista attraverso una mostra. Mostra come spiaggia di fantasmi, fantasmi come fumi di una fornace in cui sempre bruciare la poesia, per ritrovarla. Il materiale esposto proviene da Collezione Garrera e Collezione AB/ARchive.
La mostra sarà visitabile durante i giorni della festa, dalle ore 17.00 alle ore 24.00, alla Casetta ecologica.

“Rosa Orsa”, a cura di Francesca Marcaccio e Simone Doria @ francesca_marcaccio_ @simone__doria, nasce come un paesaggio attraversabile: una macchina scenica e sensibile che si attiva nello spazio di una saracinesca, luogo di transito, chiusura e lavoro. Il nome trattiene la memoria fisica dell’edificio che ospita la mostra ma anche una tensione simbolica e politica che non si lascia risolvere. Rosa Orsa è un’immagine deliberatamente ambigua: animale e insegna, rifugio e minaccia, presenza notturna che continua a muoversi nel buio.

Exhibition that highlights a new generation of artists, architects, designers, and curators navigating a present shaped by ecological, social, and technological pressures. Conceived in Venice as a “living laboratory”, it unfolds as a constellation of investigations revealing shared tensions, contradictions, and aspirations. Its ironic title evokes balance and serenity, only to expose underlying fragility.

Featuring works across multiple media, the project emphasizes imagination as a critical force emerging under pressure and uncertainty.

We’re delighted to share a new conversation with Hannah Hornby (@hannahhornbyart) and Simone Marconi (@simone.marconi_), now live on YAC.

In this rich and reflective exchange, Hornby and Marconi discuss writing as a material practice, speculative fiction, and their shared fascination with time, memory, debris, and the unstable ground between the natural and the constructed. Moving between sculpture, text, sound, and image, the conversation traces cycles of growth and decay, uncertainty within history, and how fiction can be used as a tool to question reality, responsibility, and collective meaning.

the year has flown by, been full of ups and downs and beautiful connections and challenges and lots of care. it’s so wonderful to feel fully supported and held by a group of other amazing artists. thank u for sharing many many many coffees and pints together🤩

massive thank you to all of the amazing artists who visited and worked with us over the year, i felt like we all learnt so much and took so much beauty away from the sessions with us. like we all held a part of each other to carry with us throughout our future creative paths🧡

Emerging Artist Micro Commission

Simone Marconi: Tidal Leads

Tidal Leads is a collective act of subtle, silent resistance against erosion – erosion that makes us doubt our need for community, forcing us to adhere to fast-paced societal patterns.

The audience is invited to join a group deep listening walk exploring feelings we often prefer not to acknowledge through interventions and encounters that employ Weston's promenade as a backdrop. The audio collaboration with Andrea Venanzoni ponders the inherent ephemerality of being and existing in a somewhat precarious realm.

Taking you on an intimate pilgrimage into subaqueous lands, Tidal Leads is a portal into meters below the reflecting water, where an almost parallel universe that doesn't quite feel right hides.
