The more I do this, the more fun and easy it becomes. I love these folks so much, we're already working on our next films/projects, and it's all joy so far. Having your vision as a director is all good, but executing the whole plan yourself is impossible, at some point you gotta rely on your cast and crew. You chose them for a reason, listen to them, give them space as creatives. Nobody's a finished product at this stage, or any stage really. And I'm so glad I get to grow with these folks.

@operationstreetkidz is focused on creating that sense of community. When I ask crew members about their writing/directing aspirations, it's cause I want to help. It's not the Frank Velasquez show, it's an ensemble. I'm trying to share the light with my co-stars because it's the absolute least I can do after what they have done for me. Like the song's hook says👆🏽.

And thank you to Sylvia Vasquez for allowing us to bring your father's book to life. It was an honor we all took very seriously (despite my occasional class clown behavior on set 😆). I look forward to our future with The Giant Killer, knowing this was just the first step on a long road!

Fun to see friends through the @soggydollarbar live webcam! They are leading a flotilla with @ocscsailing and have been reporting good news from the BVIs! There is still much recovery needed after the beating these islands took from hurricane Irma, but the islands and their people are still beautiful and vibrant as ever! The water looks phenomenal!

Hi friends! They are definitely having a better Sunday than all of us 😉 Live from the @soggydollarbar on Jost Van Dyke! I’m incredibly jealous
