Sharing meals together every day was one of my favorite experiences on our celiac women’s retreat at @anamayaresort ✨
The food was so delicious but most of all it just felt so nice to have all of our meals made for us in a 100% gluten-free kitchen and resort!
So much space in my brain was freed up and I didn’t have to worry about a thing!

Hear me out. I honestly don’t even remember the last time I ate McDonald’s before I was diagnosed with celiac disease because I never really liked it anyway.

BUT... living in a small town with hardly any gluten-free options can be tough sometimes.

Friday nights have always been our “eat out” night, and finding somewhere Kolbie and I can both eat down here is hard because we have the same 3 options and the other kids get sick of it really quick. Also, there isn’t a single place where I can safely grab French fries, which is why I make them from scratch all the time… even though they take forever. 😂🍟

French fries are my favorite.

Tonight, the smell of everyone else’s fries in the car made me want one so bad, and for just a second, it made me sad. Celiac disease just kind of sucks sometimes. 😩

Most of the time I’m totally okay because I can control my environment. But every once in a while, moments like this catch me off guard.

So to all the moms sitting in the car smelling French fries they can’t eat…

I see you. ❤️

And why do they smell 10x better when you can’t have them?! 😂🍟

As someone with celiac disease, I’ve spent years researching restaurants, packing backup snacks, asking endless questions, and worrying about getting sick while travelling

I didn’t realize how much mental energy that takes until I spent a week somewhere I didn’t have to think about any of it ✨

This retreat gave me incredible food, beautiful experiences, and unforgettable memories—but more than anything, it gave me a chance to relax and meet some amazing and likeminded women

To be surrounded by women who understood exactly what it’s like to live with celiac disease was something I didn’t know I needed

Thank you, Courtney and Lorin, for creating such a special experience ❤️

Turns out a celiac girls trip to Costa Rica is all sunshine and rainbows… even when it’s pouring rain ☀️🌈⛈️

Soft serve szn is OPEN and @magpiessoftserve said let’s make it happen!! ☀️🍦✨

two classically trained chefs. one @dairyqueen line. one very dangerous question: “what if soft serve was actually made with real ingredients?!?” and now we have…scratch made, chef driven, rotating flavors that pull from Rose’s korean american upbringing - horchata, corn almond, graham streusel and honeycomb 🍯

& GF girlies: they also have non-dairy and vegan options across the menu 🤍
