We made it! First stop.. Cotton & Steel for passports, but first you have to sew a project. Debbie, April, Eva and I made rotary cutter pouches. What a blast! Then we were off running around, checking out the booths and getting stamps and mini charm packs. (Got to snap a pic with my buddy Kaffe but missed one with Christa Watson and Alison) Can you believe we finished gathering all 10, then last stop we were awarded a special mini charm pack. We got it all done with 2 minutes to spare… then off to dinner at a lovely recommended restaurant called White Oak. Definitely recommend the Shrimp & Grits! Now kicking back with some wine, dark chocolate and visiting with some great gals! See y’all tomorrow!

What is on the Gammill?
Another king size (plus) t-shirt quilt was quilted yesterday and needs to be unloaded off the quilter, trimmed and binding/label attached. It’s going to have to wait. These HUGE quilts are shoulder killers so it will likely stay on the longarm until tomorrow. I like using AM-City Windows by Apricot Moon quilting pattern a lot since it edits nicely and quilts up quickly. I like how the linear design gives a modern clean look to t-shirt quilts.
Last evening I started prepping the shirts for the next custom t-shirt order for another returning customer. This next quilt is a lovely “nap size” or shoulder-to-toes quilt and will come together quickly.

clamshell design and rectangle pleated (adult size only)
- quilters cotton on the front
- lined with t-shirt knit (from the many, many t-shirt quilts I’ve made)
- lightweight iron-on interfacing, ironed on the knit to stabilize and add an extra layer of breathable filtration
- flexible nose wire (plastic covered wire)
- t-shirt knit ties that allow for adjustable fit and more give/stretch than fabric ties and allows you to snug the mask for a better fit. ...and…
A t-shirt sleeve turned drawstring pouch will be included with every mask. This pouch is for transporting your mask in your bag or car/truck until ready for use. Once your mask has been used you carefully fold your mask into 3rds (so not as to stress nose wire with bending) and transport back home for laundering, in the bag -no bleach, or you can hang to steam mask and pouch and air out for next use.

It has been two months since my last post. Between being hospitalized, lots of test and a diagnosis of “transient global amnesia”, yes you read that right, amnesia. I was finally diagnosed with a tick fever. So I’ve been off the grid for a while recovering from Rocky Mountain spotted fever. WOW!! Talk about energy draining, along with other symptoms that may linger for months. But quilts are slowly getting made, just not posted online. As I work on custom memory quilts I find that #gammillelevate offers a wonderful variety of designs to compliment the t-shirt themes such as school sports, music interests etc. or in this case swirls. These options really wow the customer. Here are pics from a quilt done several months ago. Life has slowed me down but with cooler temps and my energy returning I will “try” to catch up with life.
