One of the easiest traps to fall into is becoming your work.

You stop being the person who rides the bike, gets outside, spends time in nature, or does things just because they make you feel alive.

Everything starts becoming about what you produce.

I’ve had to remind myself that I’m not just the business, the projects, or the responsibilities.

You need time that belongs to you too.

Sometimes stepping away isn’t slowing down.

It’s what helps you come back as a better version of yourself.

25.

I used to imagine this age as some point where I’d finally have everything figured out.

I don’t.

If anything, one of the biggest things 25 years has taught me is how dangerous certainty can be. I’ve been completely convinced about people, dreams, plans, beliefs, and versions of myself that I eventually had to let go of.

I’ve succeeded. I’ve failed spectacularly. I’ve loved people. I’ve hurt people. I’ve been hurt. I’ve built things I was proud of and watched other things completely collapse. I’ve had chapters where I thought I was becoming everything I wanted to be and others where I barely recognized myself.

And somehow, all of it taught me something.

These aren’t 13 rules for how everyone should live. They’re 13 things life had to teach me personally; some gently, some repeatedly, and some the hard way.

I’m grateful to God for the life I’ve been given, for the people who have walked through parts of it with me, and even for the chapters I wouldn’t choose to relive.

Here’s to 25.

I have a feeling I’m still at the beginning.

It's Thank You Thursday.

This one is for the team at @envyless.media

Creating consistent, high-quality content takes a lot more than showing up in front of the camera. It takes creativity, attention to detail, and a team that's committed to making every project better than the last.

We're grateful for the partnership, the professionalism, and the effort that goes into helping us tell our story every month.

To everyone at Envyless Media—thank you for everything you do.

Looking forward to creating a lot more together. 👏
