HAPPY THREE YEARS of @mindbodybirthla in DTLA 💖💖💖

In these past 3 years since we opened in December, 2022, we’ve had the most amazing highs and some wild lows. We’ve had so many beautiful births, with the most beautiful babies come through our care. We’ve hosted amazing events, we’ve been out in our community providing free care and testing, and we’ve helped many families get pregnant right in the same magical room where the babies are also born.

We’ve expanded our ownership. We’ve had over 10 midwife students on our team. We have the most amazing chiropractor who keeps us all functional. And we are beyond excited about even more offerings that have coming in this new year.
•
With birth centers unfortunately closing all over SoCal, we are incredibly grateful to still be here! And we just want to say thank you to each and every client, partner, family, community supporter, and beloved friends who we could not survive without!

May 2026 bring love, prosperity, and peace to all ~ and especially to our big, beautiful @mindbodybirthla family.

Last night was all about connection, support, and sisterhood! ✨ A Sister By Your Side had the honor of attending the Doula Mingle at The Gathering Spot, hosted by Frontline Doulas. It was a beautiful space to uplift and empower expectant mothers while building community with fellow doulas.

Being in a room full of passionate birth workers reminded me why this work is so sacred—every mother deserves care, advocacy, and love on her journey to birth and beyond. Grateful for the shared wisdom, warm conversations, and the opportunity to grow together.

Here’s to supporting, educating, and embracing the journey of motherhood, one birth at a time!

@breastfeedla and @idreamnow brought the @chocolatemilkdoc to @theculvertheater for a reunion community screening this past week! It was a lovely turnout for a Thursday morning with some great organizations and vendors there to represent. BreastfeedLA was an early partner when we started this project some ten years ago and partnered with i.D.R.E.A.M. for Racial Health Equity back in 2019 to screen the early rough cut. It was a beautiful moment to bring the theatrical cut of the film back and discuss the film’s themes, progress on the issue and what still needs to change during the post-screening panel and Q&A. Always a pleasure to share the stage with the awesome Ms @lydiaoboydibclc and reconnect with folks I hadn’t seen in years like @iguanavere special thanks to @simply_ellen_holistic @natalie_akins Allyson Senegal @arissapalmer @coachvzspace and the rest of the @breastfeedla @idreamnow and @theculvertheater team for supporting the film and hosting a successful event!
