Here’s my shot from diamond beach in Iceland. Diamond beach is a black sand beach on the south end of Iceland. It’s where the glaciers in a lagoon nearby wash ashore and become photographs for the many tourists that visit this spot. It’s very populated and it’s largely to due with how easy it is to get here. You park in a parking lot 100 feet from the water and just walk onto the beach. The colors here contrast so well, especially at sunset when we arrived. As I walked down the beach seeing probably 60 people taking the same exact photo I decided to do a long exposure to differ my shot from most of the other ones. The larger glacier didn’t move much at all but the smaller one did move slightly during my shot. It really is an amazing experience and I highly recommend it if you have extra time in Iceland. The ice is actually this color, even more turquoise really. Enjoy

This shot was taken on the side of the road somewhere in the highlands. Behind us were the northern lights, pretty faint in the sky at the time but eventually they started to get stronger. This giant plateau was covered in a large cloud and the moon set behind the sun only a few minutes after. On the left you can see a river catching the last light of the day. If I had to guess this was around 9:30pm. There was a lot of atmosphere that night but it cleared up for a beautiful sky. Enjoy the view, many more shots to come

Beautiful cliffs in the highlands of Iceland during sunset. The sky was beautiful that night, the sunset lasted for more than an hour. The water is glacial runoff so it’s very blue, it almost seems fake. There was so much to photograph at this spot.
