At 4,150 meters above sea level in the Peruvian Andes, 78 students in Pedregal spend 15 days at a time living and studying at their school. 🏔️ Their classes run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., supported by 20 teachers whose commitment goes far beyond the classroom. When students return home, some teachers travel for hours by motorbike through the mountains to visit them and support their studies. Today, the schools in Pedregal have reliable solar power and internet connectivity. Now, the community is ready to take the next step: creating a dedicated computer lab. 💻 We have an incredible head start: Edmonton-based Canadian company Sirkit has generously donated 15 laptops. Now, we need your help to bring this computer lab to life. Your donation will help fund the shipping of the laptops, along with the remaining logistics, secure setup, and software deployment needed to get these laptops into the hands of the students. For many of them, this will be their first opportunity to use a computer regularly. The lab will help students build essential digital skills, prepare for post-secondary education and access new opportunities. The power is on. The internet is connected. The laptops are ready. Now, we need your help to bring this computer lab to life. ☀️ Every contribution, no matter the amount, will help create new opportunities for the students of Pedregal. Donate here and help us complete this project: https://lnkd.in/eu_6eumC 💛 #LightUpTheWorld #DigitalEducation #Pedregal #DigitalInclusion #SolarEnergy
