SUNDAY CHECK-IN ☑️

Today was a full day, but it was so worth it.

I had the honor of attending the grand opening of @therockchurchnc and celebrating my dear friend, sister, and makeup artist, Lady J @sittin_pretty_ , alongside her husband Pastor @altonstevensonjr , as they stepped into this incredible new season that God has entrusted to them.

Standing in that room reminded me of something so powerful🔥🔥🔥:

What God has ordained can never be stopped.

It may seem delayed.
It may require a pivot.
It may come with challenges.

But if God said it, He will bring it to pass.

Watching their tenacity, perseverance, and unwavering faith through the many challenges that come with planting a church was inspiring. Church planting and ministry are not easy assignments—everyone who has walked that road will tell you that. But when God calls you, He also sustains you.

God’s Word reminds us:
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” — Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

To Pastor Alton, Lady J, and The Rock Church:

Congratulations on this beautiful milestone! 🎉What God has started in you will continue to flourish. I believe this ministry will be a beacon of hope, healing, restoration, and truth for your community. May God continue to enlarge your territory, send those He has ordained to be connected to this vision, and establish every work of your hands. I declare that lives will be transformed, families restored, souls saved, and generations impacted through this ministry. May His favor surround you, His wisdom guide you, and His presence remain the foundation of everything you do🙏🏾

📌If you’re looking for a church home in or around Sharpsburg, NC, I encourage you to visit The Rock Church. You’ll find a place where people come together to worship Jesus, grow in faith, and experience the love of God without pretense.

The Rock Church - 4320 S Hathaway Blvd, Sharpsburg, NC 27893

Sunday Worship begins at 12:15 PM.
(And yes…no excuses—you can’t say you overslept! 😊)

Congratulations again 🎉🎊👏🏾🫶🏾

God bless you all.

AND UPON THIS ROCK… ❤️🏡

”…I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18

Today is the day.

We are beyond excited to open our doors and begin this journey of becoming a church in the heart of the city, with the people of the city in its heart.

This isn’t just the opening of a building—it’s the beginning of a home where people can encounter Jesus, grow in truth, find family, and discover purpose.

Whether you’ve been searching for a church home or simply need a place to belong, there’s a seat waiting for you.

We’re officially 7 days away from opening our doors for our Welcome Home service.

This week, we’re putting the finishing touches on a place we pray will become home for so many.

Your generosity through our 7K in 7 Days campaign will help us complete our lobby, furnish our pastor’s office, purchase air conditioning units, prepare our worship space, and create an environment where every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed.

This has never simply been about a building.

It’s about creating a place where prayers are answered, families are restored, children discover Jesus, and people find hope.

We’re believing for 70 Founding Builders to help us raise $7,000 over the next 7 days.

Whether you give $100 or $500, you’re helping us prepare to say two words that mean everything to us:

Welcome Home.

Will you become one of the 70? 🧡

90° outside and y’all’s Lady J was out there on mission 🪧😂

But if you seen me melting… mind your business. We have a community to invite!

So there I am… truck full of signs, driving all over from county to county looking like the unofficial CEO OF CHURCH ADVERTISING.

One thing about me? If we’re building God’s house, I’m gonna do my part.

Sometimes ministry isn’t glamorous… it’s sweat, obedience, and showing up anyway.

Galatians 6:9 — keep planting. You never know what God is growing from it. God handles the harvest 😉

The last few years of your life I got to know you as Theola, Lola, LoLo and not just my mom. You had an identity before you became our mother… a vibrant, loving and big personality. Witty, funny, intuitive… you knew things before they were ever spoken. Some days I deeply believe you knew you were going to leave us.

Man all I know is I did so well yesterday. It was great. Then sent us this video and Ive been messed up every since. I miss you so much girl! *I do not own the rights to the music*
