These last 2 years have been quite the journey to say the least.

To Small Coed 24-25:
Thank you for sticking with it even when things got tough, seemed like nothing ever went our way, and faced problems week in and week out. Putting out 2 great routines on the bandshell and hitting 0 in Finals, was greater than any trophy, accolade, or medal.
We may not have placed in the top 3 like we wanted to, or even felt content with each skill in our routine, but there’s something about hitting hard, and hitting back, when all the odds are against you.
For me, being able to compete on the bandshell, just months after a major surgery, after just learning to move my body again, is a true testament of the power of God. Thank you for allowing me to lead in my first year as captain, even when I was the in the weakest, most broken, and hardest time of my life.

To Large Coed 25-26:
Mannnnnn.
Let me tell y’all. When I say this team started from the BOTTOM now we here! WOW. I don’t think I have ever been a part of a team that has grown so much within a calendar year. Myself included.
To begin, bringing back large coed to SFA was a lot of pressure. To see how each individual came together to build something so pure- so special, watching our season unfold as that pressure made us into diamonds, will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Countless mistakes, tears, drops, falls, touch-downs, bobbles, injuries, doubts, and stresses overall. The team that was counted out most first semester, evolving into that team that everyone wanted to be on months later, did not happen by accident.
I am so grateful to have had @kynlie_foit by my side as captain, as we navigated through the construction of a new team atmosphere, and a culture that we wanted to flourish for years to come. I know that there were many many times where I have yelled, screamed, disciplined our team, but thank you all for trusting the process and still following the vision even when it got hazy.

You are a CHAMPION, not because of any medals, trophies, rings, or scores. BUT because of your PERSISTENCE, GRIT, and RELENTLESSNESS.

I haven’t been able to post about our championship because it means more to me than words can describe. SFA cheer has taught me so much more than how to be an athlete, it’s taught me what family looks like, how to work hard, and how to face the fear of failure.

I’m incredibly blessed to have finished my athletic career surrounded by some of the best people I know. I’ll miss the long car rides, the arguments with Zach and Coby, and those early 5:45 a.m. meet times, but I’m taking so much more with me than just memories. I’m leaving with confidence in myself and a deeper love for the people around me.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged me and helped me get to where I am. I’m beyond grateful.

One of the biggest things this season taught me is how temporary even the highest moments can be. Winning a championship and running into the water was an unforgettable feeling, but it didn’t last. It reminded me that my worth can’t be tied to my athletic success; it has to be rooted in Christ.

I’m thankful for the people who held me accountable on and off the mat, and in my faith. Forever grateful. Mission 17 accomplished! #relentless #lclm #code #narp
