melancholia is a short film that’s so visually stunning, you’d never believe it was shot on an iPhone. Written and directed by Lisette McAllister-Liew, who also stars in the film, melancholia explores the ups and downs of dealing with depression. melancholia was awarded Best Film at this year’s WA Made Film Festival smartphone filmmaking competition by the festival’s Smart Jury, Miley Tunnecliff (Proclivitas), Jason Robert Lester (Bleederville) and Jaron Herren (The Mustangs). most of my favourite frames from @ediephonehome’s new music video ‘burning’ are of edie holding candles and I’m so sorry but she did it SO WELL 🕯️ I’m in AWE of the team for this one, like in absolute AWE. first of all @spacemrkt_au opened up its home for us to shoot this. we felt at home and I can’t thank Joel enough for the kindness of letting us use the space. the TEAM oh my goodness. when they say it takes a village they aren’t lying. Every person on set contributed to so many of the details that either ended up on screen OR just helped in small ways behind the scenes and I’m just so thankful to have people who SHOW UP and not just do a job, but make something we’re all proud of and to @ediephonehome, who pushes me to dream big and never stop. burning is my favourite song from the EP and I’m so proud of what we achieve together, always ❤️‍🔥 I loved shooting this so many of my friends, here are all of their names and if you’re one of them - thank you. thank you thank you thank you.
