POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Honored to be part of Training Conference this week. Seeing people passionate about marriage, discipleship, and the local church makes my heart full. Love being able to encourage, equip, and exhort these leaders and trusting the Lord with the fruit!!

When we started More Than Roommates, the goal was to help couples refuse to settle in marriage and always strive to be “more than roommates.”
Nearly four years later, we’re incredibly grateful for every conversation, every guest, every vulnerable story, every listener, and every marriage that has been impacted along the way.
In this special 200th episode, we look back at some of our favorite memories, talk about what we’ve learned, and remind ourselves why we started in the first place.

What an amazing weekend at the Marriage Collective at WinShape. So many amazing and talented people who are using their gifts to celebrate and affirm God‘s design for marriage. We were encouraged and inspired to do our part. Grateful for new friendships and new opportunities! Love being able to share it with my beautiful bride and dear friends.

The alternate universe version of La La Land is wild.

We were weirdly close to getting:
Miles Teller and Emma Watson in La La Land
and Ryan Gosling as the Beast.

Movie history is strange.
Did we end up with the better versions of both movies?

Traveling for work can be a real strain on a marriage and not enough people talk about it honestly.
This week Scott Kedersha is back and we’re getting into all of it- the temptations, the guardrails, the communication habits that actually work, and how to decide whether to take a job that pulls you away in the first place.

The biggest lie culture feeds single guys?
“Marriage is where your fun goes to die.”

We’ve all heard the “ball and chain” jokes, but we need to completely change the narrative. In this clip, Scott Kedersha drops a massive truth bomb: marriage isn’t a boring routine you just have to endure. It is the most dynamic, exciting human relationship God ever designed.
When you do it right, spending four straight days working non-stop alongside your wife isn’t a chore, it’s the peak of your year. If you view the covenant of marriage as the end of your freedom, you are completely missing the point.

Let’s hear from the guys in the comments: What is the biggest misconception or worst advice you hear culture giving young men about marriage? Drop it below.

@skedersha has a hot take for La La Land. Let us know your thoughts on this scene. Did they go too far?

The real heartbreak of La La Land was that Mia and Sebastian could have made things work, had they just communicated.

We often confuse “keeping the peace” with actually making peace. We dodge friction because it’s uncomfortable, but that doesn’t protect your relationship, it slowly starves it.
