If you know me I can almost guarantee you have heard me say the phrase “I feel the most like myself at PGC.” Reflecting back on the summer I can promise you that is still 100% the truth. Being in a gym full of people who exude the same love for the game as I have makes me feel right at home. Coming off of finishing my playing career this past season, I was unsure if PGC would feel the same as it had before. I was worried I might feel sad or bitter about basketball being over for me. Thank goodness I was wrong. PGC somehow felt more impactful than ever before. I found out the only way I can give back to basketball now is through giving my knowledge to the next generation of hoopers and showing them what true passion for the game looks like.

So, if you were a PGC athlete that I had this summer or either of the summers before, please know this: you all fuel my fire for this game. I could not be more thankful for every single athlete I have come in contact with in the past 3 years. I have learned more from y’all than you could ever learn from me. You all have impacted me so much. Thank you.

To the staff I had the privilege of working with this summer, thank you all. What an honor to get to share this unique experience with all of you. I have never met a more selfless group of people in my life.

11 weeks of just dances, chow hall cheers, mish mash, team comp, making friends, loving on kiddos, and lots of laughter!!!! To another summer of a cup overflowing, learning to depend on the Lord, and campers getting to experience the love of Christ poured out for them!!! My heart is SO dang full!! Thankful is an understatement!!!

These past 7 years have blown by so quickly. Thank you CWE for all the great memories and friends that I have made. I’m looking forward to continuing my walk with Christ and can’t wait for the next chapter in my life.

11 years at camp and none come close to the last one. All the people and lifelong friends I’ve made along the way. All the great counselors I had growing up. Looking up to the yellow shirt every year till my year came. All the special events and good memories I’ve made. Even dropping Adelle in the talent show. I’ve grown so much in my faith especially this year thanks to camp. Shoutout Cole hammy chase frank jack and Jack for about 7 years straight of the best cabin. It’s been a great 11 years love all of yall! And yes in two years I will be a counselor!

If you would have told me just over six years ago when I walked into my first camp with @pgcbasketball would have been the first of countless memories, friendships/relationships, and opportunities that would open up over the last 6 years I would have called you crazy…

But here we are, at the end of year two on staff with PGC just full of gratitude and appreciation for getting to spend my summers getting to pour into and invest in these athletes lives, and not just in basketball but in all aspects of life. But also for these athletes and coworkers who take their time to invest and pour into me. I don’t think some of those people will ever realize the impact they have made on me and my life.

I am so grateful for the relationships that I have gained through the summer of working with PGC and cannot wait to keep growing those as well as creating more in the years to come.

I am grateful that through the long days and late nights I get to see the growth in these athletes that they now get to take back home and teach others.

Thank you @pgcbasketball for continuing to letting me be a small part of these athletes journeys!

SO thankful for Camp War Eagle!!! These past 7 weeks have taught me how to be goofy and helped me make so many great relationships for sure. BUT it also helped me fully lean into the goodness of God and learn what true reliance is! It was so cool to see how God moved this Summer in and through my cabins! BIG thank you to Camp War Eagle for another Summer of having the time of my life!
