A few more photos from our fantastic art workshop in Viterbo, Italy. I am so thankful to my friend Susan O’Neill for all the hard work and thought she put in to co-planning this workshop. As with her art and all else she does, she has transformed this workshop into so much more than I could imagine.

My dear friend Judy Brown introduced us to Daniella Lai, a talented local ceramics artist in Viterbo. Daniella gave us a special demonstration of La Zaffera, a precious technique from the 14th century. We designed our own plates using the La Zaffera technique, applying a deep blue decorative relief on the pearly white background. I painted the town of Viterbo on my plate!

We later did a portrait demonstration of Daniella. It was such a special way to connect with a talented local artist.

To see more of Daniella’s beautiful works. Please follow her here https://www.facebook.com/bottegadartedanielalai?mibextid=LQQJ4d
