🎬 NEW ON SKRE TV: FIRE TO STONE IS LIVE 🔥

We build gear for people who work hard all week and spend their days off somewhere tougher.

@jlehman05 is exactly that person. He’s a full-time firefighter, and on his days off he chases mountain goats through BC’s highest country.

Same grit. Different fight.

📺 Watch the full episode now on our YouTube channel, SKREGear. Link in bio.

October will test your patience and take you through every emotion. But all it takes is one sit. One moment. One buck to turn it all around.

Keep showing up. Bring on the rut.

When do you like to take a doe early or late season?

😂 YOU made this happen. We’re just giving the people what they want.
A couple of weeks ago, we posted a video of me at the shooting range when a black bear and her two cubs, followed by a moose, wandered downrange. It became our best-performing video ever!
But apparently, the wildlife wasn’t the only thing people noticed. 👀
The comments were full of questions about my eyes. Was I wearing eyeliner? Guyliner? What was going on?!😂
Keep the comments coming. We’re clearly learning what you people want to see!

Nowadays when I process a grouse, this is what it looks like. As a younger man I couldn’t be bothered to go for anything but the quick and easy breasts. Now I take the legs, gizzard, heart and liver.

Maybe I’m more patient than I used to be, or maybe I just have a stronger desire to use more of the animal and appreciate all the little morsels that come with the extra work.

No judgement towards those that can’t be bothered, it’s an absurd amount of work for the smallest reward. But to me it gives the opportunity to enjoy something most people never will, and that’s a feeling (and a snack) that just can’t be bought.

The result of a cold front, some gusty winds, a few hours in the rain, and one perfect shot!

It may not have been a successful day in the elk woods but it sure beat the shit out of sitting on the couch. Like it or not, we are part of nature. Humans were meant to do these things and be good stewards of the wilderness. Respectful, ethical hunting keeps the wildlife healthy and also protects them through our observations and reporting. I’m not saying YOU specially should hunt, but understand it’s necessary. Also, no bears were harvested during or after this video. He was weee, but there is a bigger one in there. Now we return to another disappointing elk hunt. #keeppushingoffthex #veteran #stayinthefight #ethicalhunting #dothefuckingwork
