POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

These photos are from the people who participated in the project. I’m so grateful we’re able to share their perspectives on what it means To Know Allah. As we grow older, our understanding of what that relationship looks like changes and deepens.

The way someone views their relationship with Allah SWT is deeply personal, and hearing these reflections leaves you in awe of everything He has given us, blessed us with, and protected us from.

Last year, when I finished my Ramadan photo series, I knew I wanted to create another one if I was granted another Ramadan. Alhamdulillah, I was able to bring this idea to life with ease this year. InshaAllah, I hope to create another one next year as well.

I’m extremely grateful to everyone who watched the videos and shared their feedback. May Allah make the rest of this month beneficial for us all.

Ameen.

To Know Allah, with Abdulhakim Elmi.

This Ramadan, I interviewed eight people on how they know Allah, and their reflections remind us that knowing Him is about presence, return, and being gently shaped, not perfection.

Stuck In My Ways

It lives inside a mind that can’t find rest. Thoughts blur into reality, turning familiar spaces into something heavy and unsafe. It begins and ends the same, reminding us that even when the chaos is only in our head, the weight of it is real.

I had the honor of being the MC at the Cultural Gala at M.E. LaZerte High School. what an amazing night celebrating our city’s diversity!

Thank you to all the volunteers, teachers, performers, and everyone who attended. A special shoutout to Zaki Hirabi for the shoutout! I also loved meeting the Sizwe Marimba Band, their music was incredible!

As we celebrate Black History Month, it’s a great reminder of the strength, culture, and contributions of Black communities in Edmonton and beyond. Events like this bring us together and highlight the beauty of our shared history.

Looking forward to more moments like this! Its Time to Shine! Lets Shine Brighter Together!
