Over two and a half years, we worked closely with the Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) and Desmone Architects to provide art for CCAC’s new Center for Education, Innovation & Training. This new wing represents the college’s long-standing commitment to preparing the region’s workforce with the skills employers need now and in the future. Our client was interested in incorporating artwork that highlighted the fields being taught in the space and community of CCAC. The finished collection has been titled “Celebrating Community in Art: The CCAC Collection at the Center for Education, Innovation & Training” and includes 19 artists and collectives–11 of which hold connections to CCAC. The majority of artists are Pittsburgh-based, representing a range of demographics, artistic media, and career levels. One of the artists we brought on for this project was Ross Mantle. Ross’s photographic practice includes working on self-initiated projects, taking commissions from commercial and editorial clients, teaching at Carnegie Mellon University, and co-running Sleeper Studio, where he edits, designs and publishes image-text works. 📸 @hiseancarroll

#movesfromthearchive ✨📖 ❤️ @elanaschlenker @sleeper_studio Posted @withregram • @sleeper_studio We are very excited to announce that @aturn_arkdelta’s book Moves From the Archive is finally available for pre-order over on our site. The photographs, which are a part of the larger and ongoing project Black Alchemy, re-present cultural and familial images, exploring them as both subject matter and material. We have been working on this for a couple of years and are tremendously proud of the results. Pre-ordered copies are being offered now for $40 and will ship no later than May 1st. After that, the retail price will be $55, so grab one now and support this project as it enters the production phase!
