Phish tour is the best. Syracuse->1996, sans 1993. Beyond grateful for old homies, new homies, JEMP, Citibike, that perfect NYC weather, CK5, bust-outs, the 90s, apartment swapping, birthday Peking duck, the MSG Skybridge, sleeveless Trey, that Numberline (song of the run!?), and being my own damn boss so I can do these things!! Now I’m contemplating Dicks 🙃

We partied like it was 1996 (and ‘92, ‘93, ‘94, ‘95…)

Five nights of joy, incredible jams, ridiculous nostalgia, long-awaited bust-outs, deep laughter, hugs from my favorite people, and countless little moments in between that somehow become the ones you remember most.

Feeling extra lucky to have this community, this music, and these friendships. ❤️

“Meet the new boss … same as the old boss … “

7/29/26, NY, NY

What can be said about this band that hasn’t already? 43 years in and we are still getting incredible 3-hour shows at the highest level of entertainment. I’m grateful I don’t have to explain them to anyone anymore. If you know, you know, and if you don’t you might if you’re lucky.

Lights up we saw as close to a recreation of Clifford Ball wear as we’re gonna ever get. The only a cappella tune from CB Mike wore brown. Such is life. 🤷‍♂️

Lisa Simpson, Jon’s dressmaker was hard at work, not only distressing Jon’s already well-worn blue/red dress last seen on 7/22, but also completely reworking a newer version of Trey’s iconic gold velour LS.

I think most of us, myself included, thought we would get The Grinch, after seeing all the classic 90s tees over the past few nights. But Golden Boy did shine. Kicks were a bit of a step up from his Converse at The Ball (see Danny Clinch’s pic slide 4). But I haven’t seen these Lanvin maroon/black cap-toe lows for a while. Whatever you do …

Nice to see the Anastasio Knicks jersey come out for the encore. Hang it from the rafters. 😊

Mike’s neon tee looked perfect & his Vollenbak Indestructible Pants made the word neon even an understatement. Kicks were Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘07s. I think this is a first wear. Sure looked fresh AF.

Page went with Nordstrom’s Open Edit for that true blue vibe. Was nice to see the sleeves rolled up a bit and those fancy fingers making mama (an avid pianist) proud.

But yeah, I think the winner of whatever contest it was was Jon. I saw that duct tape holding his flyover area together and said, “OMG it’s the OG!” I’m told the original is “somewhere in the archives.” The worn look was achieved using “abrasion, washing & stressing,” (sounds like regular life stuff) & the duct tape was the “icing on the cake.” Dresses, shirts, cakes, what can’t she do? Kicks were Hike Strides, a break from his Allbirds.

“Ooh, some say it’s just a part of it … we’ve got to fulfill the book … “

7/27/26, NY, NY

I’m not so fast sometimes. And on top of that I’m wordy AF—something I’ve spent a lifetime trying to rectify with nary an—anyway. I had a feeling we would see the Jah Volunteer shirt, not because it is ‘95-specific (it’s not) but because not everyone can get away wearing a yellow tee. But Trey has his ways.

Anyway, I showed my wife the copy I had prepared for my Twitter post—she took one look at it, shook her head, smiled and said … “Jah Drop.”

Boom, goes the dynamite 😳❤️

Trey’s kicks were Adidas Munchen 24 lows with pink stripes and blue heel panel. Check my Linktree ☝️ for more info.

Mr. Pink—er, I mean Mike—started out in Garden Chic via his reversible Craig Green worker jacket. Looks like Gordo has at least three different variations. Tonight was pink, red, and white, matching his S2 Comme des Garçons geo-patterned top. Kicks were perfectly paired and an excellent shift from last show's Gatorade Blue highs. The Nike × AMBUSH Dunk High SP in “Lethal Pink” (more perfection) is one of the boldest releases from Yoon Ahn’s collab and dates back to 2021. The oversized Swoosh incorporates Japanese motorcycle culture. And strangely enough, here in Japan you can tell a hair salon is cool by the rad bikes parked out front. No lie.

Page kept the Paul Smith train rolling all night in his Blurred Floral top. Daddy Long Sleeves let loose a little with a sneaky one-turn-up exposing the lovely cuff lining with alternate pattern. Leo is a pirate's booty of delicious sartorial details.

Jon blazed on in his Flaming Donuts dress by @lisasimpsonmakes. Really love this special model, and it seems this and the Doppler Donuts are the only non-standard donut patterns we’ve seen on stage since the Vermont Flood Benefit.

Lisa offers this original design as a t-shirt (see my pic from Mondegreen). DM her for deets.
