On the road for a Fall Film Fest tour!

First stop: La Crosse tonight for the @lacrosseadventurefilms Storytelling and shredding block! We will be screening of Lake Effect a Michigan Ski Film!

Meanwhile Hometown Hype Northern Michigan will be playing under the tent tonight at the @freshcoastfilm free kickoff event!

I will then be jumping in the car and driving to Marquette to participate im the rest of FreshCoast where i’ll be sitting on a filmmaker panel tomorrow at 12pm to talk about film distribution.

And then Hometown Hype also plays Saturday + Sunday at 10am!

So excited to get these films back on the big screen and spend a few days talking film, storytelling, and the Great Lakes adventure! See you there!

September sail pt. 2: Platte Bay → North Manitou → high island → Beaver Island

Conditions have been across the board, from all-time to a classic butt kicking. Good anchorages, lots of swimming, maybe a sleepless night or two.

Batteries stopped charging, but thankfully it was a blown fuse down the line from the alternator. While replacing that, we noticed a substantial leak from the impeller where an O-ring had blown out. Nothing a cardboard gasket can’t fix! Smooth sailing :)

(FYI Posting a little bit behind the trip schedule.)
