✨ Hairstylist Secret: Protecting Your Body While Building Beautiful Hair ✨

One of the most common questions I get is, "How do you stand for so many hours?"

The truth is, healthy hair starts with a healthy stylist.

As a hair and scalp care professional, I've learned that taking care of my body is just as important as taking care of my clients' hair. Over the years, I've developed routines that help me maintain good posture, prevent injury, and continue serving my clients at my best.

✔️ Maintaining proper posture throughout the day
✔️ Incorporating regular workouts and strength training
✔️ Monthly deep tissue massages recommended by my healthcare provider
✔️ Wearing supportive ankle and foot compression supports during long service days
✔️ Choosing supportive footwear
✔️ Staying hydrated throughout the day
✔️ Eating nutritious foods to fuel my body
✔️ Taking moments to sit when needed and listen to what my body is telling me
✔️ Prioritizing rest and recovery

Behind every healthy hair journey is a healthy professional committed to providing exceptional care.

To my fellow hairstylists, locticians, braiders, barbers, and beauty professionals: your health matters too. We cannot pour from an empty cup.

It's not easy to maintain but determination creates discipline

Let me talk about why compression actually helps 💪 When your elbow aches, gentle targeted compression supports the joint and the muscles around it, which can ease that nagging strain from typing all day, lifting, or repetitive motion. This Sleeve Stars strap gives you adjustable compression right where you need it — snug it up for workouts and dog walks, loosen it for desk hours. The breathable knit keeps it comfortable for all-day wear (no sweaty, bulky brace feeling), it fits 18–23 inch forearms, slides under sleeves, and works for both women and men. Support you can actually live in, all day long. Do you deal with tennis elbow or desk elbow? 👇 #tennis #elbowbrace #sleevstars #jointhealth #tenniselbow @sleevestars @sleevestars_club

Creator tip: Find the trade shows where the brands in your niche go, not just creator conferences.

You’ll learn how the industry works AND meet the people behind the brands.

Have you ever gone to a trade show or industry event? Was it worth it? And if you haven’t, would you go to one now?

Thank you @outdoor_retailer and @popflyco for this amazing experience. And to everyone I got to talk to, thank you for sharing a piece of your world with me. If you’re ever in SoCal, let’s hang out!

Note to myself ✍️

You didn’t think you could do it.
That’s exactly why you did.

It’s a challenge — tough, uncomfortable, exhausting.
It costs effort. Time. Every drop of motivation you have.

And still — you showed up.

I’m proud of you for challenging the fear.
For facing the disbeliever that lives inside you.
The protector who whispers ”stay safe.”
The voice that mistakes comfort for survival.

You are all of them —
The challenger.
The doubter.
The goal keeper.
The adventurer.

And you are becoming someone new.

Last month: 1 wall ball.
This month: 20.

Don’t you dare tell me you can’t grow.
Don’t you dare underestimate what 6 months from now looks like.

Be proud of this.
I am proud of this. 🤍
