The art of the subtle upgrade. 🏛️

To flood this West Hollywood entryway with natural light without sacrificing its original character, we replaced the doors with custom pieces tailored to the home’s era. Glass panels now allow light to spill across those gorgeous original checkerboard floors.

Updated hardware in an French Antique finish brings that same timeless elegance as the original pieces. Complimented with a vintage Gaetano Sciolari chandelier to add a touch of flair.

It’s proof that updating just a few thoughtful details can completely transform a space. Giving the home a fresh feel while preserving its classic charm.

In the living area of the Los Feliz Residence, the Frisée armchairs by @cristinacelestino integrate into the architecture through a palette of soft sand tones and enveloping forms, creating a harmonious balance between space and furnishings.
A project that highlights the versatility of the collection and Billiani’s ability to engage with different interior contexts.

There are moments that quietly confirm what we have believed from the very beginning.
Over the past week, the five rooms at Casa de las Flores have welcomed five photographers. They arrived from different countries, pursuing different projects and, for the most part, without knowing one another.
Perhaps, after all, it wasn't a coincidence.
When architecture invites us to slow down, when hospitality leaves room for conversation, and when a place is created with intention, connections emerge naturally.
We have always believed that hospitality is much more than offering a place to stay. It is about creating the conditions for curiosity, creativity and human connection to flourish.
Perhaps that is what contemporary hospitality means to us.
Thank you to each of you for sharing your way of seeing Lanzarote through Casa de las Flores. You always help us discover something new.🤍

Hay momentos que confirman, en silencio, aquello en lo que siempre hemos creído.
Durante la última semana, las cinco habitaciones de Casa de las Flores han acogido a cinco fotógrafos. Llegaron desde distintos países, siguiendo proyectos diferentes y, en su mayoría, sin conocerse entre ellos.
Quizá, después de todo, no fuera una casualidad.
Cuando la arquitectura invita a detenerse, cuando la hospitalidad deja espacio para la conversación y cuando un lugar se concibe con intención, las conexiones surgen de forma natural.
Siempre hemos creído que la hospitalidad es mucho más que ofrecer un lugar donde alojarse. Es crear las condiciones para que la curiosidad, la creatividad y las conexiones humanas aparezcan de forma natural.
Quizá eso sea, para nosotros, la hospitalidad contemporánea.
Gracias a cada uno de vosotros por regalarnos vuestra manera de mirar Lanzarote a través de Casa de las Flores. Siempre conseguís descubrirnos algo nuevo.🤍

What a dream! So incredibly proud to see our Los Feliz residential project highlighted in @casavoguebrasil.

‘Designed by Allison Thompson of @allisonthompsoninteriors, this project renovated a mid-century modern residence in Los Feliz, one of Los Angeles’s most iconic neighborhoods. Built between 1969 and 1976, the house sits on an elevated lot in the hills below the Griffith Observatory, offering sweeping views of the city center. Conceived for an artist and her two young children, the renovation aimed to create a welcoming, enduring home that supports family life while maintaining a sophisticated, art-centric atmosphere.

Over the course of the six-month renovation, the designer transformed the interiors to maximize natural light and enhance the flow between spaces. A palette of natural materials—featuring bleached oak and Blue Angel Dolomite stone—adds lightness and depth to the interiors, while a carefully curated art collection integrates seamlessly with the architecture. The result is a luminous, tactile home where design, functionality, and artistic expression coexist in balance, reflecting the creative spirit that defines Los Angeles.’ - Casa Vogue Brasil

Designed by @allisonthompsoninteriors, this West Hollywood residence beautifully balances heritage and modern living. Once home to celebrated Hollywood architect John Elgin Woolf, the residence has been thoughtfully reimagined to preserve its architectural character while reflecting the homeowner’s personal style.

The living room features our Savelle Curved Sofa in Rose Mauve Velvet and the Cava End Table, thoughtfully integrated into a space that feels warm, refined, and timeless.

Set in the heart of West Hollywood, this residence reimagines a classic home originally designed as the personal residence of John Elgin Woolf, the architect celebrated for his iconic Hollywood homes. The owner felt an immediate connection to the house. She was drawn to its rare character and rich history and sought to honor its legacy while modernizing it with her own personal style.

New white oak floors flow throughout, complemented by a full interior and exterior repaint that adds warmth and architectural clarity. The interiors and outdoor patios have been fully refurnished with custom pieces that balance comfort and sophistication. A curated mix of vintage and contemporary lighting adds depth and contrast. Updated garden fixtures create a soft, inviting glow.

Art anchors the home’s identity. A collection of Salvador Dalí works inherited from the owner’s father is complemented by bespoke commissions. Thoughtful details—including new hardware and glass-paneled front doors and gates—bring cohesion and subtle texture. The result is a residence that feels timeless and deeply personal.
