Pokémon Worlds XP Day 3: slowing down and soaking it all in. 🥹✨

By Sunday, we had accomplished SO much that for the first time all weekend… there was no mission. 😂 No Pin Rally to race through, no Pokémon Center reservation, no activation we absolutely had to get to. We could finally wander, revisit the passive exhibits we’d missed, spend more time with friends, and actually stop to connect with some of the people we’d met along the way.

So I threw on my Misty gear and we did exactly that. 💙

Unfortunately, one of the harder things to see was how many kids came for their only day at XP on Sunday excited about the Pin Rally, only to find out it was over. Hearing parents tell me that grown adults were then offering to sell those kids pins for upwards of $200… yeah, that didn’t sit right with me.

So my Sunday mission found me instead. 😌

I started giving away my Pin Rally pins.

And honestly? Watching a kid absolutely LIGHT UP because you handed them the one Pokémon pin they really wanted was more rewarding than anything I stood in line for all weekend. 🥹💗

One pin at a time, we fight the scalpers. 🫡

The rest of the day was exactly what I needed: finding my fellow Mistys in the wild, making some really lovely personal connections, hanging with the @nuclearpharmhouse fam, and finally getting to meet some of my online homies like @sliccgaming and @pundellopulls outside of the DMs. 💙 Thank you guys for bringing even more bright, bubbly energy to an already incredible weekend.

Then we took one last look around XP, soaked up as much of the magic as we could, and said goodbye to Moscone before heading over to Chase Center for the Arena Experience. 🥹

Day 3 was less about checking things off a list and more about the thing I ended up loving most about Worlds anyway:

the people. 💗

My life at @meta has been so fun and full these last few weeks I actually forgot to post my 4 year Metaversary on Sept 16th. I can’t believe it has been 4 whole years that I’ve gotten to work with some of the brightest minds, best creators, and worked on really incredible product launches. This job has challenged me in ways I never could have imagined, and I am a better leader, employee and human because of it.
