Depression is a weird friend. Somehow it always shows up when you’re feeling the worst just to rub dirt in your tear soaked eyes. When no one is there to say it’ll be alright, depression affirms you suck, you’re a failure and it’ll always be shit.

I isolate because depression is ugly. I hide because I think I’m alone and in danger. The reality is, I’m safe, and I have everything I need. And I’m not alone. IT’S All GOING TO BE OKAY.

I had a really great year, so it goes to show you can be enjoying life and having a great time doing it, and still struggle with negative aspects of life and feeling down. It’s normal to take the good with the bad. We don’t have to smile through everything. That’s life.

Meant to post these pics from getting to play music at Bluebird Bodega with @slocommotion last week but unfortunately my dad passed literally the next day and I naturally haven't had the capacity for anything since but grief and trying to find pockets of reprieve from it 😅

Grateful I got to play this gig though it felt like a lifeline that got me through an unimaginably stressful week and to get to bring smiles to strangers faces via the thing I love to do the most is a blessing that heals me time and time again and gives me something light to hold onto in what is a very dark and cruel world sometimes.

Hope everyone is having a good week and in good health & spirits I'm sending y'all my love 💞

And thank you @anthony_gasbarre for the pictures I'm glad to have proof of the light in an otherwise dark week seeing these again did make me smile it was such a lovely joyous night 🥰

Rooftop nights just hit different. 🌃🎤

Last Thursday, Spotlight Connects took over Resident Rooftop for Round 3. From first-time performers grabbing the mic to $COTTY, OSHA RENEE, and KO KELLY taking the stage, there was no shortage of talent in the building.

This series has been all about creating a space for local creatives to be seen, heard, and discover each other , and watching that happen in real time has been the best part. 💜
