Coming home from China with a GOLD MEDAL in Pro Women’s Surf! 🥇🇺🇸

I don’t even know how to put this feeling into words. Representing Team USA on the world stage and bringing home gold is something I will never forget. All the hard work, sacrifices, and countless hours on the water have led to a moment I’ve dreamed about for so long.

Standing there with the American flag, knowing I made my family, my supporters, and my country proud, is a feeling I’ll carry with me forever.

None of this would be possible without my family, everyone who has believed in me, and my incredible sponsors who continue to help turn my dreams into reality. I am beyond grateful.

Let’s go @usawakesurfing 🏆🥇

More than 8,600 people in #SLOCounty lost power in a public safety power outage enacted by #PGE amid a heat advisory and red flag warning in areas of the county.

The outage hit schools, businesses and homes on Friday, nearly doubling in size from Thursday, when it started.

The impacts were wide-ranging, with families attempting to keep refrigerated medicine cool, businessed trying to hold onto their cold and frozen inventory, and residents coping without air conditioning.

The outages were set to last in some areas through Saturday.

Your favorite Paso Robles dinner spot is up for some pretty exciting honors! 🍝🍷

Cello Ristorante & Bar has been nominated in quite a few categories, including Best Date Night Spot, Best Fine Dining Restaurant, and Best Italian Restaurant, in The Tribune’s Best of the Central Coast competition!

And while we’re thrilled to be recognized, what we love most is creating the experiences behind those nominations.

The handmade pastas, beautifully prepared entrées, exceptional wines, and cocktails. The warm glow of the dining room, the beauty of the courtyard, and the kind of attentive hospitality that makes an ordinary evening feel like an occasion.

Whether it’s your anniversary, a first date, or simply a Tuesday night that calls for really good Italian food, we’re honored to have a place at your table.

🗳️ Voting opens Monday, October 26th at noon and runs through Friday, November 13th at 5pm. If Cello is one of your favorite places to dine on the Central Coast, we’d be so grateful for your vote in these categories!

Morro Rock got an unusual visitor on Wednesday — a 2-year-old black bear.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife said it’s uncommon to see a bear at the popular tourist spot.

Wildlife biologists responded and ushered the bear toward Morro Creek, which they expected it would follow back to its habitat.

Read more at sanluisobispo.com. Shoutout to @mboysterco’s Neal Maloney for sharing his footage!

One street. One long table. One unforgettable evening. 🍷🍴

On October 22, we’re transforming Pine Street in downtown Paso Robles into an open-air dining room for the inaugural Fork + Vine — an evening celebrating the food, wine, people and community that make Paso Robles so special.

The evening begins with a curated cocktail hour featuring local wines, seasonal cocktails and chef-driven bites before guests gather around long communal tables for a multi-course, family-style dinner prepared by Chef Rachel Ponce of Staviary.

It’s more than dinner. It’s a chance to slow down, gather around the table and celebrate the incredible culinary talent, makers, businesses and people who make this place home.

And because community is at the heart of Fork + Vine, proceeds will support the Paso Robles High School Jazz Band, a Leadership County scholarship sponsorship and the Paso Robles & Templeton Chamber of Commerce.

📍 Pine Street between 11th & 12th Streets
📅 October 22
🍷 All-inclusive tickets: $200

Come hungry. Stay awhile. Gather around the table.

Tickets available NOW!
