A special post to highlight a special show coming up Nov. 5 featuring @lou_wee_za and @slowpacker. This will be our last show of the year at @zadiesmarket before we rest until next season. The grand finale. Come celebrate with us.

Louisa is a Camden, Maine-based singer songwriter with a badass record out on @yeproc. She has deep roots in WNC, having lived in the area on and off in the 2010s. You may have caught her as a part of the outfit @dyado_theband back in the day. Louisa has a truly golden voice and a classic touch to her songwriting. She's written plenty of songs that we consider to be perfect. Highly recommended for those who enjoy Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, touches of Margaret Glaspy, and more. Come see her now while you have a chance before she takes over the world.

Supporting Louisa, we have the brotherly duo @slowpacker. Two of WNC's hardest-working musicians, Jack and Mike join forces as Slow Packer to create some of the most carefully arranged and emotionally striking music out there. Their new album, The Taste of Life, released earlier this year, is just that— a taste of all that life has to offer, the ups, the downs, and everything in between. Do yourself a favor and give it some spins before this show.

There's even talk of Louisa and Slow Packer joining forces for some songs!

We're going out for the year with a bang, y'all. If it's freezing cold by then, we'll have the heaters cranking, and it'll be a grand time as we celebrate a great year of music in Marshall. Thanks to @zadiesmarket for providing us with the gorgeous space to bring world class original music to Madison County!

Never a cover, always a good time, rain or shine, 6-8pm, as always!

Next Tuesday, JULY 7!
BELLOWS (NY) / TERROR PIGEON (Nashville) / SOPHIA CORINNE / SLOW PACKER
Doors 8 Show 8:45 $12

Bellows is the bedroom recording project of songwriter and producer Oliver Kalb. The sound of Bellows is sensory and delicate, subtle and quiet, but erupts with frantic wobbling drums, large orchestral sections and bursts of noise that push the conventions of pop and folk. Started in late 2010 in a bedroom in upstate New York, Bellows has since blossomed from a solo recording experiment into a large-scale rock band, employing the help of friends to bring Kalb’s intimate home recordings to life on stage in sweeping, loud, and intense live performances.

Terror Pigeon- Nashville-based indie electro-pop project aka “the world’s sweatiest band!”

Slow Packer is a collaborative music project between two brothers, Jack Victor and Mike Henry Johnson. The two of them started playing music together as young kids, and performed and recorded with various bands over the years. This project is a return to their roots, working side-by-side to create original songs that reflect their musical background and multitude of shared experiences.

Sophia Corinne - “Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears. In both writing and voice, Sophia’s songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. She is currently based in Asheville NC.” ~Malena Sweers
