It’s a great time to reintroduce myself! 🐝

Hi, I’m Breanna — Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and communication advocate for children.

I created these profiles to share speech and language insights, therapy strategies, and experiences from working with children in all settings!

If you’re a parent, educator, or fellow SLP, you’re in the right place.

Welcome again!✨💛

/th/ using functional activities such as, BINGO! I didn’t realize how many /th/ were in this game, but we were able to come across a lot of opportunities!

Working on “back” sounds are my favorite!

But don’t let the errors spook you! The back sounds can be easily modeled using a floss pick, cheerios, or a simple model of your own tongue!

The /k/ and /g/ sounds in words are sometimes substituted for velar front sounds such as “tat” for “cat” or “dhost” for “ghost.”

Tongue placement for the production of both sounds are important for correct production. The child’s tongue tip is down behind the bottom molars, and the back of the tongue should be up towards the roof of the mouth.

Voice ON for /g/ 🔈
Voice OFF for /k/ 🔇

No superstition—Let me help your child with these common speech sound errors! 👻
