We are very proud to supply slvtrout with 10 G2 vises for their recent fly-tying class with students from adamsstateuniv

Throughout the four-hour class, every vise stayed in use as students rotated through and learned the craft from an incredible volunteer group. Amazing people and good equipment doing what they do. 🤝

A massive thank you to San Luis Valley Trout Unlimited for inspiring a new generation of fly fishers, and for allowing us to be a part of it!

Explore the full catalog of PEAK vises, tools and accessories at PEAKFISHING.COM

Running a fly-tying class, program or organization? Please reach out! We’d love to discuss how PEAK can equip your program and get more people behind a vise!

Check out the latest coming to town from @slvtrout!

They’re almost ready…

After months of raising trout in their classrooms, San Luis Valley students are preparing for one of the most exciting days of the year — release day.

🐟 Trout in the Classroom Release

📍 Del Norte Town Park
🗓 Thursday, March 12
⏰ Arrive by 10:45 AM
🐟 Fish released at 11:00 AM

Students from across the Valley will be there releasing the trout they’ve cared for all winter — and the community is invited to come be part of it.

This is where classroom science turns into real conservation.

Come out and support these students and conservation in action right here in the San Luis Valley.

This is what Cultivating Conservation looks like.

👉 Open to the public — we hope to see you there.

It’s Friday the 13th, but nothing spooky here! Greg Felt with another ArkAnglers fishing report from the banks of the Arkansas River below Salida. Visibility is increasing and fish are active.

It’s going to be a fantastic fishing weekend on the river! THANK YOU for being part of our story for three decades!

The San Luis Valley is home to one of the first TU student chapters in the U.S.—and the only one west of the Mississippi. These young conservationists are already making an impact through fly tying, habitat restoration, and fish population surveys.

And they’re just getting started. Read more about their journey by seeing our latest blog post through the link in our BIO.

We’ve got a big thank you to float into the universe! The folks @slvtrout helped us and Davis Engineering with a drought resilience project. SLV TU brought a boat and equipment, conducting a survey on storage capacity in the slough. Usually, this gear is used for river trips and studies on cutthroat trout habitat. Thanks to them, we’ll have a more resilient local foods system in the future.

Check out the aerial shots of the team in action via our Farm Assistant Brayan!

And consider attending SLV Trout Unlimited’s annual auction fundraiser this Saturday, June 3rd, at the Colorado Farm Brewery.
