I’ve been on this journey long enough to know that only so much growth and healing can happen in isolation. I’ve had seasons of incredible highs and deep lows, and in every single season, it was a sisterhood around me that helped me navigate it all.

Those moments where I felt seen, understood, and held, those were the moments that made the biggest difference in my journey.

Through it all, there’s been this special kind of magic in having women in my life who just GET IT and GET ME. Women who can hold space for my joy and my pain, who’ve stood by me through my transformations, and who’ve been there to remind me of my strength when I couldn’t see it for myself.

Having a community to lean on and people who don’t judge, who listen, and who celebrate every part of me has taught me that we don’t have to carry the weight of this journey alone.

THIS IS MY SISTERHOOD AND TRIBE ‼️‼️ #WCE #WCW #BlackWomen #MelaninMagic #Sisterhood #ThisIs40 #BirthdayParty #Scorpio 🤞🏾🫶🏾🤎♏️🦂😘

What a fun little walk down memory lane I had with this group last night while celebrating 32 years of teaching and Kim’s birthday!!(very sneaky) Some of my favorite times were spent with these wonderful friends/teachers throughout my career.

Some horrible quality pictures with high quality people 💙. Yall have all made a special place in my heart . thank you for all the support yall have given me throughout the years . 👉Sierra- you have routed on me and believed in me for as long as i can remember. You have no idea how much i look up to you and how much i love talking to you cause you always know what to say. I love you like family and can always count on you to say the right things. 👉Kinsley- you are such an intelligent young woman and you are so naturally beautiful . your so golden and i love your personality. I loved all of our conversations at first base . that will probably be the ONLY thing i miss about High school softball is how often we laughed at practice. 👉And casey - i am so beyond proud of you. With everything thrown your way these past 4 years you have always come out on top. You are so strong and you deserve the absolute best. I promise to always give you what you deserve and to forever keep you happy. You have accomplished so much and im so so so very proud of the man youre becoming. and i cant wait to see what our future holds. I love you to the moon and back x infinity . keep doing great things baby. 💙💙💙💙💙

As you can probably tell, I've completely lost focus these past few months & have definitely taken a few steps back. I am now more determined than ever to be the fittest I have ever been. This year my goal is to be stronger both mentally & physically. I challenge YOU to be the best YOU you can be in 2016. Join me as I smash 👊🏼 my goals this year. Each day I will be posting my journey (with the hashtag #FITx365) not only to hold me accountable, but to hopefully inspire & motivate someone else as well. Track your journey by using the hashtag as well & let's make this year our best year! 💪🏽👊🏼🙌🏽
