WSW Exchange #1 ♾️

Thank you to those who were able to make last week’s first WSW Exchange @hotmamasalsa headquarters. We had such a diverse group of businesses join us. Although Kasey and Angela couldn’t make it, their dollars contributed to the exchange and they still received Nikki’s blueprint.

In one evening, we created an ecosystem of knowledge, energy, space, and capital sharing with a small group of 11. With the money raised from ticket sales and Nikki donating her $90 portion, we were able to raffle off a $180 microgrant to an attendee 💫

Cindy of @pdxbitters who has been a long time friend of Nikki’s through the life of their businesses was our winner. Congrats Cindy! This is what we can do together if we gather and distribute money within our community 💯

Special thank you to Nikki for inviting us into her HQ. I loved the tour and the intimacy of our discussion. Thank you all for experimenting with me on this new WSW format. Maybe I’ll see you at the last WSW Founders Meet up on 9/23 hosted by @santajjacque or the next exchange on 10/7 hosted by @redsaucepizza 💞

🍪✨Did you know you can find Small Baking Co. cookies in the bulk cookie display at New Seasons Market?
Right now they’re featuring:
🌰 Oregon Hazelnut Sea Salt Shortbread
🍵 Matcha Snickerdoodle

What makes these cookies even better? Small Baking Co. builds recipes around ingredients sourced from fellow Pacific Northwest makers. Think organic Willamette Valley grains, Jacobsen Salt from Netarts Bay, local butter from Clackamas, Oregon hazelnuts, Tillamook eggs, and fruit from area farms. Supporting one small business means supporting an entire community of local growers and producers. ☕️
Stop in @smallbakingco for coffee, tea and a treat (or pizza focaccia!) located at 14210 Fir Street, Unit D, in Oregon City. It is open to the public Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. During these hours, you can stop by their bakery window or grab birthday candles and a card in their cute lobby to go with the treat you are buying.
🍰
Yes, you can special order for your event or wedding. ❤️

No other way to beat the heat than swimming!!! Had so much fun today at Meldrum Bar Park with my Mama @allucius and Papa @gtesta48 chasing my favourite fetch toy, stalking duckies, and keeping cool. We also stopped at The Small Baking Company @smallbakingco in nearby Oregon City for some yummy treats!! 🐶🏈🏊🦆☀️🍩🥐🥮 #yellowlabmumford #swimpup #labslovewater #meldrumbarpark #smallbakingco
