For this trip, I focused on sewing separates because I knew it would be easier for my packing and ease of lots of walking. My first fit in Hong Kong is the Sailor Top and Teaberry Bloomers. I made my pants from a sari. Since the sari was sheer, I made self lining shorts. The sari is a hand painted Kalamkari.

Hong Kong is full of great backdrops and alleys. I wandered around until I found the perfect one.

My bag was a gift from my dearest @jai_nix

I made my bolo tie as well. If you zoom in, you’ll see the pants have hand painted birds so the tie was a great accessory🧿

I plan on posting ALL my fits so yeah! 😬😆

Jacket season in full swing😆

An old make, using @smallmuseum_ Blanket coat pattern.
Used a vintage blanket I found a few years ago in my daughter’s loft!!!
Fabulous colours in it.

Been out shopping with my oldest daughter today- a curtain may have been purchased in the @dunelmuk sale and it’s not for the house 😬😬😜

Can you believe that when I first made this matching set, I wasn't really into it? 🙈 Sewists, I recommend giving a me made garment a couple days before you ultimately decide if you dislike something you make or not. 🤣😮‍💨 Sewing is full of such DRAMA!

I'm going on a trip soon, so I've been brainstorming outfits and I might just bring both of these! (The rad barrel pants were not made by moi, but by the fabulous @nettlestudios!)

I sewed the Henrietta Skirt by @spaghetti_western_sewing and the Sailor Top by @smallmuseum_ back to back, both of which were fun to sew and try something different. I've been thinking of sewing some cute ric rac on the collar of the top, but I'm just soaking in my work as is for the time being. It's SO cute and I'm already figuring out what kind of fabric I want to use for a dress version of it. 🐸 And you can count on me making a number of Henrietta Skirts--this one is just so fun to wear! 👏🏻

Both the top and skirt were made from @fluidplusdrape's sand washed cotton poplin and WOW, I don't think I've ever touched a softer poplin before. And this bright green?? **Chef's kiss** When I first started sewing, I picked up some poplin that was SOOOO disappointing and subpar, I stayed away from it for a long time. @fluidplusdrape always blows me away with what they stock, so I decided to give poplin another chance. Thank goodness too, but it makes the Henrietta Skirt real ruffly and crispy. 💅🏻
