Our next speakers are part of a design panel featuring the Smart Design team and PepsiCo, giving you an inside look at this amazing and unique partnership. We’ll highlight the Smart Design team first. What does a successful partnership between an in-house design organization and an external agency really look like — and where does one team’s role end and the other’s begin? Join leaders from both companies for a candid conversation about the realities of modern design partnerships, told through the lens of their recent collaboration on the SodaStream Fountain. Panelists will share firsthand perspectives on managing global brand portfolios, navigating fast-moving projects, fostering career growth, embracing emerging technologies, and solving business challenges through design — plus the trade-offs and behind-the-scenes realities that rarely make it into polished case studies. Whether you’re a student, a practicing designer, or a design leader, this is a rare look into both sides of the practice and the shared craft that makes meaningful collaboration possible. Wow two great tasting tables today - @mavenscreamery and @drinktastelli 😋, and no surprise those tables were hopping with eager tasters! @mavenscreamery (Vietnamese and woman-owned) brought their Thai Tea (my favorite)🧋, Vietnamese Coffee ☕️, Black Sesame, and Passionfruit Mango 🥭. I confess I ate two samples each of the @drinktastelli Mango Pineapple 🥭🍍and Passionfruit bc I couldn’t decide - I ended up getting Mango Pineapple which they said in their most popular flavor. Both were so yummy - plus super healthy with collagen and lots of Vitamin C. I think the server said something brilliant Iike “it’s skincare you can drink” 😂 And @drinktastelli is from Korea, the skincare experts! 🇰🇷 📍Costco in Duluth, GA Other 🆕 items - @birdrockhome toilet paper storage🚽, @smartdesign couch console 🛋️, @kidsembrace @disney @minniemouse @batman @blackpanther @spiderman car seat 💺 (super fun looking), @dkny tote bag, @hunterboots weekender bag, @egmont_honey manuka honey 🍯, @safecatchfoods tuna burgers, and @beautyofjoseon_official glow serum from Korea 🇰🇷. Anyone hear about the sardine shortage at Costco and @traderjoes bc of their popularity? I can confirm this Costco does have @seasonbrandofficial sardines 🤩 but not the @wildplanetfoods sardines. Some notable clearance items - @sietefoods salsa, @keepcoolbags insulated cooler bags (almost got this), @ugaathletics @universityofga @ncaa arm chair and decor pillows, and @crocs backpack. @costco #costco #costcoduluth #costcoatlanta #costcodealhunter #costcodeals

“Practice how to communicate with people from various fields.”

OXO Good Grips Peeler
@smartdesign with Sam Farber, 1990 The Good Grips peeler began when Sam Farber saw his wife Betsey struggle with a traditional metal peeler because of arthritis. Working with Smart Design, he created a wider, softer handle inspired by bike handle grips that required less grip strength and stayed comfortable when wet. Designed around one person’s difficulty, it became easier for almost everyone to use. It helped show that accessible design does not need to feel specialized. Good design begins by including more people.

Every interruption is a design problem. The Leatherman Wave didn't become iconic because it had more tools. It became iconic because it removed friction from the way people worked. At InventIndia, we design products by solving the moments that slow users down, because the best experiences are the ones that feel effortless. Explore our work: www.inventindia.com #Inventindia
