And it's been great collaborating with @smilingwolf, who designed the new identity. (With brand foundations laid by @flyakitejoandlorna.) More good news. We’re delighted to see Falcon Road Bridge has also been shortlisted for the NLA Awards 2026 @nlalondon in the Public Spaces category, adding to the growing recognition this remarkable project has received. We proudly manufactured and installed the bespoke vitreous enamel panels that bring the story of Battersea to life. Working with the wider project team, the scheme transformed an overlooked underpass into a vibrant public space, combining artwork, lighting and planting to create a safer, more welcoming route for the local community. Designed by @gpadlondon in collaboration with @wandsworth_council @poor_collective MRG Studio @smilingwolf @suttonvaneassociates @cundall_global @mda_consulting_ltd @networkrail and the Community of Wandsworth the six enamel panels celebrate Battersea’s heritage, architecture and natural landscape. Each panel was screen printed by hand at our Isle of Wight factory, demonstrating the craftsmanship, colour depth and durability that vitreous enamel can bring to the public realm. Footnotes. Several years back I had the pleasure of working with @smilingwolf to create a custom wordmark for their agency identity. Earlier this year they came to my studio in Bristol and shot a beautiful film in which we discussed my background, my process and the work we did together. This film is part of a series of pieces that Smiling Wolf have commissioned to celebrate their 25th birthday so sending them all the well wishes. Huge props to @bellboy_studio too who made the film and was lovely to spend a few hours with whilst shooting the breeze. It’s so lovely and reassuring to collaborate with people who work in a way that really values craft 👊

Student Work Spotlight: India Salter for her work in practice at GPAD.   During the first year of her master’s at the London School of Architecture, India combined her studies with a Part 1 role at GPAD, where she supported the creation and launch of Common, the practice’s annual publication created in collaboration with contributors from across the built environment.   Designed as an anti-journal, *Common* brings together ideas, reflections and conversations that explore what matters most in design, encouraging readers to slow down and engage with the people and thinking shaping the industry.   Alongside her project work at GPAD, India contributed across editorial, graphic design and communications. Her role included laying out contributor content in line with brand guidelines, researching and drafting copy, creating campaign assets for social media and email marketing by animating original illustrations by Smiling Wolf, and supporting preparations for the publication launch through the research and costing of printed materials.   Contributing to a live publication from concept to launch gave India valuable experience across branding, editorial design, marketing and event planning, demonstrating how a Part 1 role can complement academic study with meaningful, hands-on experience.   @ias.arch @gpadlondon @smilingwolf
