It was a pleasure to perform with Black Combo on Monday night, as it always is. Been trying to stay present in the moment rather than observe as it passes me by.

This Sunday, Oct 4th, 7:30pm!

JCL presents “Should A Big Band be Playing This?" Vol. 1: The Music of Jacob Mann in the Voxman Concert Hall.

Part jazz, part funk, part electronic dance music (EDM), part video game soundtrack, and part beat machine / loop music - the recipe for Mann’s music is anything but typical. Kick back, fasten your seatbelts and enjoy a ride on the “Should a big band be playing this kind of music?” express!

One you don't want to miss.

Last night at @tavern.blue was a beautiful last jam session of the semester with special guest @stefonharrismusic alongside UI Jazz faculty and students.

We are grateful for the energy in the room, and everyone who came out to support live music and community.

A few more days remain in Stefon’s residency here at Iowa—don't miss this!

p.s. we'd also like to thank @danielellisperez for joining us from Chicago and holding down the bass chair!

Here's a clip of Monday night's performance with the @uiowajazz Black Combo, taking a solo over the tune Secrets by the great @_seanmason . Such a blessing to get to play some of my favorite songs with some of my favorite people.
