Today I took myself on a solo date to Untethered hosted by @smittenoverself
It was a pumpkin smashing event made for the girls on a journey of self love and discovery. Today we let go of all the things that once kept us tethered and bound. I’m so grateful for moments like this where I can reflect in a space where I know that I’m not alone. @tacosandtequilavegas did NOT disappoint! From singing along to the best music ever to me and my bestie almost getting snatched 😭😂 chile, we had a time!

now would you have went to see Chingy on the side 👀 or gone ON STAGE with Pretty Ricky?! We just wanted a good show, no extra mess 🙅🏾‍♀️

overall, 10/10 experience! The music & the memories 🥰 already counting down until next year!

Notes to Self ❤️

Some moments are meant to be more than just beautiful, they’re meant to remind us of who we are.

“Notes to Self” was a special collaboration with @smittenoverself centered around self-love, intentionality, and the power of speaking life into ourselves. From creating our own signature perfumes to sharing positive affirmations, it was such a beautiful reminder to slow down, pour back into ourselves, and celebrate the best version of ourselves that we are becoming.

I’m so grateful for everyone who came, created, laughed, reflected, and made this evening so special. ❤️

A little reminder from us to you: You are enough. You deserve the love you so freely give to others. And don’t forget to leave yourself a little note every now and then. ✨

Plantin’ Seeds & Growing Connections 🌱✨

What an amazing experience we had with @outthagatetx x @satx.thegathering celebrating one year of Out Tha Gate!

We started the event by enjoying drinks curated specifically for the evening with cute titles like “Girl, Relax” which was a Lavender French 75 & a playlist of hidden musical gems that I hadn’t heard!

Then, we decorated flower pots with affirmations to pour into another sister in the room. After completing the pots, they were added to a table and you got to pick the one that spoke to you. Such a meaningful activity, y’all. I was so overjoyed that mine was gone so fast.

Next, was Plant Bingo! Now, it wasn’t your typical bingo—it was more interactive. We had to go around the room and find women that fit the spaces on the square. If you like Rihanna more than Beyonce, write your name on this square, if this was your first event, write your name on that square and so on. There were some fun ones on there like “prefers herbs” (iykyk 🤭). It was so cool to meet almost everyone in the room trying to fill out your sheet first.

In the end there were 5 people who finished first and they won real live PLANTS. I was only one away!!

This was such a fun way to foster community and meet new people in a way I had never experienced before. I am so grateful that this was my first Out Tha Gate event because it definitely won’t be my last.

Found our 3rd Space.. and it was everything we needed it to be. A place to serve as the inbetween.. the wind down from the hype of the weekend and the calm before the work week storm. Sundays are sacred, and we deserve a space just as special. Thank you @blackblindbomb and @outthagatetx for curating a space for all of us to just be in our element and unwind. And shout out to @sunsetbrewssatx for hosting us.
