🍗✨ WINGOUT FEST CHICAGO — PART 4: SMOKE DADDY’S‼️

Y’all… this might be one of the MOST UNEXPECTED wing flavors I tried at the entire fest! 😭🤯🍯 Smoke Daddy’s was serving Smoked Wings, Sweet & Sticky, and Daddy’s Little Reaper 🌶️👀. We decided to play it safe and go with the smoked wings and Sweet & Sticky!

🍗 Smoked Wings: 4/10 — I could taste the smoky flavor, but those wings were DRY! 😩 I expected that juicy, tender bite from smoked chicken, but the texture just wasn’t giving what it needed to give. The flavor was there, but the dryness hurt my soul!

🍯🍬 Sweet & Sticky: 10/10 — BABYYYY, THESE WINGS WERE DIFFERENT! 👏🏾🔥 Fried perfectly, the breading held up without getting soggy, and that flavor lingered on my taste buds! That sweet, rich, caramel-like flavor with a savory twist was SO unexpected, but it WORKED! 🤯🍿 I could easily eat a whole 10-piece with NO dipping sauce because these wings didn’t need any help!

⭐ Overall Smoke Daddy’s Rating: 7/10

The smoked wings brought my rating down, but that Sweet & Sticky flavor was a WHOLE WIN! 💯 I still wish I would’ve tried Daddy’s Little Reaper, though! 😂🌶️ I’ll definitely be back to try more of their wings!

Be honest… would YOU try a chicken wing with that kind of sweet flavor, or am I doing TOO MUCH?! 😂👇🏾🍗

Did somebody say BBQ?!!!! 🐷🔥 Oh yeah, you already know we’re ALWAYS in for some of that sauce-soaked goodness, and @smokedaddybbq in Wrigleyville brings plenty of it!

Friday night was very much a celebration of the work week coming to an end, and naturally, we chose to indulge 😂😎🔥

We kicked things off with some delectable libations, and I hopped right on the Smoke Show to get the night rolling because you know…Mezcal 😎 and I had to get before Romeo could. It was ok tho because he’s been Mr. Old Fashioned lately so he elected to sip on the 4 Star variation.

Next up, the appetizer train pulled into the station! Romeo snagged us a pile of Onion Rings, while the table next to us completely sold us on the Pulled Meat Nachos… so obviously we had to run with it. 😂 Both are perfect for sharing with a full table of hungry folks and definitely got us started on the right path.

Then it was time for the main event. I’m a “little bit of everything” kind of girl, so naturally I gravitated toward the Smoked Meat Platter with pulled brisket and pork. Let’s just say that brisket was done to perfection. Not to downplay the meets but we CANNOT forget the cornbread! I love me some cornbread, and Smoke Daddy’s is so good your mouth starts watering the second they set it on the table.

For my guy Romeo? You already know it had to be the ribs — full rack, of course 😎 — loaded up with all the fixins from the sides department.

Last but DEFINITELY not least, if you’re doing Smoke Daddy the right way, you have to finish with the Skillet Cookie. It comes straight out of the oven, drenched in caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream. This thing was so good, I swear we demolished the entire skillet before the ice cream even had a chance to melt… and that’s pretty hard to do. 😉

If BBQ is your jam, Smoke Daddy is your 360 windmill dunk for the win. 🐷
