A pleasure playing for the sweet young children at @yeeha.childcare in London where my sister cares for these youngins. Nice to meet care providers with a genuine love of the arts, and an appreciation for black culture.

#JustReleased TODAY!! 🎶 The first single from Meets Hank Jones Vol. 2 is now available for streaming! (Link in bio.) This project was such an honor and I’m thrilled to share this very special session featuring the mastery of pianist Hanks Jones and the sublime playing of bassist Peter Washington.

The idea for this project was to imagine what it might sound like if Hank and Peter were playing a duo gig at the legendary piano bar Bradley’s and I happened to sit in. I hope you’ll enjoy! Full album digital release & limited LP coming soon!

Thank you to all those who came to hear us at Smoke last week! We had a beautiful time playing 5 nights at this magnificent club which rose from Augie’s, where it all began for us in 1989 (!) That was back in the late 1900’s and I couldn’t feel more fortunate to still play with these geniuses of modern music on the spot we first played together. Thank you to Paul, Molly, Tommy, Jules, and the great staff there for everything. Thanks to Paul and Damon for recording us and getting the music out there. “Rhombus” on SmokeSessions Records has been released! Or, as Lou Donaldson used to say, “that record wasn’t released, it escaped!!” 🙏❤️🎶
