A few snippets from my stay at @souwester so far! ☁️ ✨ I haven’t really done an art residency before, and I’m realizing how different it is to intentionally make time and space to make and dream and design. Different than working in a new space for a day, it’s a portal to a creative realm of ideas and dreams and I already am looking forward to coming back. I’m really enjoying floating between designing and painting, beach walks and meals with @snakeriver___ , sauna breaks, and releasing the idea of perfection.

✨ SACRED SHEEP VENDOR ✨

Joining us for her third year, Sofija of @snakeriver___ is a local PDX artist who creates incredibly cool, stylized pieces.

Each Snake River piece is designed, fabricated or carved from wax in my home in Portland, Oregon. Everything is hand formed or created using the lost wax cast method. Jewelry and objects with a focus on simplicity & form, inspired by the natural world
