It was an amazing experience being able to have my team and family with me as I competed.

Local competitions have never been our focus but it was good to help stay sharp and display my skills to my family and team who are not always able to follow me out and watch me compete on the bigger stages.

I enjoyed and am blessed to have been able to coach my students and compete along side them. Im blessed to be in good health along with my students and fellow athletes. All glory to God for my health and allowing me compete and prepare for upcoming competitions. Thank you to my team @checkmatstx for the nonstop support and the love from my family and friends who never stop their support.

Building a gym is taking longer than expected. Getting lazy isn’t an option.

So while @nomadgrapplingclub is being built, I’m still showing up at @theblcklstd & @8020jiujitsu and getting rounds in.

The place isn’t ready yet.

I am. 🧭

I love teaching because it forces me to be relearn what I already know.

Someone always asks a better question.
Someone always sees something I missed.

That’s where learning happens!

If you’re looking for private instruction or want to bring a workshop to your academy, I’d love to help!

My DMs are open.

Big thanks to @ericmtztx for trusting me with the room.

A year ago I lost my dad, left my old team, and honestly had no idea where I was headed.

80/20 didn't ask questions. They just opened the door.

Teaching has changed the way I learn. The fastest way to find the holes in your own game is to stand in front of a room and let people challenge your ideas.

I don't have all the answers.

I hope I never do.

We're just getting started. 🧭
