Snapshot has been long listed for a BIFA! How mad cool is that?! . Massive congrats to the Queen and King of Victorian Spook @cathywippell & @_joseph_archer_ 👻 👑 . So proud of them and everyone in the Snapshot team. . London based peeps - If you want to see it before the official release, check out the Halloween screening (slide 5) at Picturehouse Greenwich on 23rd Oct. . And in other big news it’s at the amazing @filmfestivalgr next week! . This film is so unique and everyone worked their arses off on it. Don’t miss out! . (and if you like seeing me in full VICTORIAN ICE BITCH MODE then have a gander for that reason also) . Whatta vibe. . @bifa_film @raindancefilmfestival

On the opposite side of the found footage genre is “Snapshot”, which is shot entirely from the circular perspective of an early camera and set in Victorian London during Jack the Ripper. We sat down with writer Cathy Wippel and director Joseph Archer to discuss the film’s shooting methods and wider meaning about truth in society. Part 2 of 3 interviews from EIFF 2026 with horror directors featured in our recently released issue 14.
