Down to the last 3 groups and just 3 games left. Argentina - one of tonight’s semi-finalists is sitting right in this lineup. But there’s no grudges or politics here; just love for great music you’ve not heard enough of.

Argentina may have a little magician representing them on the pitch but on your speakers, Dillom and Juana Rozas are pulling trap, punk and hyperpop into the same lane most people wouldn’t put together. Algeria’s Soolking and Zaho are two of the biggest francophone crossover names in the game right now, alongside Sabrina Bellaouel’s neo-soul and SABRI’s alt-R&B. Austria brings genuine soul depth with Yola, SOIA, Lou Asril, Rose May Alaba…this a country most people file under “not a music scene” quietly stacking one of the strongest groups yet. And Jordan’s zeyne, Bedouin, Autostrad and Dana Salah span pop, house and indie-rock in a scene that rarely gets this kind of spotlight.

Let us know who’s standing out here in the comments. Group K next.

France are two wins away from ramener la coupe à la maison. Norway’s ship has sailed, Senegal and Iraq went out much earlier — but their music curator picks aren’t going anywhere.

Norway’s @charlottedossantos_ is doing neo-soul and jazz that sounds nothing like the algorithm’s version of “Scandi music,” while @skaarofficial is pushing alt-pop and electropop from the same country. Senegal’s @sambapeuzzi_officiel is one of the biggest names in Afrobeats-hip-hop fusion right now, and Iraq’s @bu.kolthoum is blending hip-hop with soul in a way that deserves way more ears outside the region. France rounds it out with @aupinard’s bossa nova-R&B crossover — genuinely not what you’d guess from a semi-finalist’s home country.

Which of these four countries surprised you most? Drop it below 👇

🇳🇴 Norway: @jonasbenyoub · @charlottedossantos_ · @skaarofficial· @ugbadmusti
🇫🇷 France: @rnboii · @aupinard · @la_rafleuze · @callmejadanae
🇸🇳 Senegal: @sambapeuzzi_officiel · @mouhamed_vj · @massamba_amadeus · @onelyrical.sn
🇮🇶 Iraq: @narcynarce · @khalifadaog · @bu.kolthoum · @nayomigram

Spain’s still alive in the World Cup. Cabo Verde, Saudi Arabia and Uruguay aren’t — but as your music curator for this series, that’s not where the story ends for any of them. @vozinha1 @sidnylc and co were shining lights for the inspiring Cabo Verde, and their music shines just as bright ☀️🇨🇻

Spain’s Lia Kali blends soul with rap and R&B, while Alcalá Norte — from Madrid’s Ciudad Lineal — is running one of the most talked-about post-punk revivals in the country right now. Cabo Verde’s Mayra Andrade fuses jazz, Afrobeats and rap into something that doesn’t sound like anywhere else, and Dino d’Santiago has 270K+ followers making some of the most respected Cape Verdean-Portuguese R&B out there. Saudi Arabia’s Tamtam mixes Arabic and English into cinematic, socially-conscious alt-pop, while Jara is Saudi Arabia’s first female rapper. Uruguay’s Zeballos just became the first Uruguayan rapper to headline Antel Arena — a genuine national moment.

Four countries, radically different sounds, all worth adding to your playlist rotation this week.

🇪🇸 @lia.kali_ · @teoplanell · @alcala_norte · @garaduran
🇨🇻 @mayraandradeofficial · @dinodsantiago · @lura_criola · @junefreedom
🇸🇦 @tamtamsound · @molham · @jeed · @theycallmejara

Germany’s out. Curaçao’s out. Côte d’Ivoire’s out. Ecuador’s out.

But the genres coming out of these four countries right now make zero sense on paper (and in the best way).

Curaçao, an island of about 150,000 people, isn’t just doing Caribbean rhythms. It’s fusing kompa with R&B and reggaeton into something you won’t hear anywhere else — plus a genuine pageant-queen-turned-recording-artist story. Ecuador’s Ren Kai sings in Mandarin — a C-pop artist born and raised in Ecuador. Côte d’Ivoire’s rap scene is having a real breakout moment, with Ameka Zrai reportedly sitting at number 1 domestically right now. And Germany’s hip-hop and R&B scene keeps evolving past the sound you’d assume from “German rap.”

This was never really about who wins the group. It’s about the sounds nobody’s playlist saw coming.

Türkiye may have just won Group D and I’m not even sorry 🇹🇷

American neo-soul that’ll stop your scroll. Paraguayan trap and dream pop in the same group. An Aussie funk band that sounds like it shouldn’t exist but absolutely does. And a Turkish hip-hop artist with 210K followers your algorithm has never shown you.

I’m calling it — Türkiye takes this. emir taha had a Colors session. M Lisa has 210K followers. Kaiya was born in Turkey, raised in Melbourne, now in London. The diaspora is undefeated 🌍

🇺🇸 @mackkeane @klyrae @kendramorris @khaliyah_x
🇵🇾 @alesh1t @thecrayolas @lialuvmusic @saricarrri
🇦🇺 @callmesaygrace @ecosysstem @itshoneydrip @jaymiedeville

Name one other artist from each country. All 4 = your music taste is genuinely elite 🏆

The hardest country to curate because America dominates globally — so I went deeper. Mack Keane’s “Ordinary Feelings” is neo-soul that belongs on a film soundtrack. Kendra Morris has been quietly building a cult following for years. Khaliyah X is Chicago putting a modern spin on classic R&B. kali rae’s “Kill Joy” dropped in 2026 and the name says it all — except the music is the opposite →

Four artists. Four completely different genres. From the same country. Aleshit brings Latin trap from Asunción. The Crayolas are dream pop and indie rock — from Paraguay. Lia Love did the opening show for Tini’s world tour. Sari Carri is indie pop touring Mexico and North America. Paraguay is the most sonically diverse country in this entire series →

SAYGRACE had a #1 hit, pivoted to R&B and never looked back. Eco$ystem is Melbourne rap’s answer to everything, having previously opened for the late Juice WRLD. Honeydrip is funk-soul-R&B that exploded out of Sydney’s suburbs. Jaymie Deville is an Aussie R&B artist now in Dubai who sings, produces, loops and writes everything herself. Australia didn’t come to this group to be polite →

Group B might be the most sonically unpredictable group in the whole tournament 🌍🎶

Swiss German rap. Qatari alt-pop. Balkan electropop. Canadian neo-soul. All in one carousel.

Swiss German rap is real and it goes OFF. R&B silk, reggae-soul, lo-fi — Switzerland brought range. Not just chocolate and watches anymore 🇨🇭

Neo-soul from Toronto. Dream pop from Vancouver. Canada’s underground sounds nothing like Drake — and that’s the point. Swipe 👉

You weren’t expecting Bosnia to go this hard. Pop-folk meets electropop meets house. This slide alone should make you rethink the Balkans 🔥

Bet you didn’t have Qatar on your music radar. Psychedelic rock, alt-pop, blues R&B — from a country most people can’t place on a map. Surprise of the group 👀

Which country won Group B? Name one artist from each — if you can do all 4, your music taste is unmatched 🏆

July 10th is gonna be a special one!
🔥GUIDANCE – REMIX🔥

May 2025, I had a mind-blowing tour in Africa.

I got in the studio with the Zimbabwean producer @officialshonasa, and since then we haven't stopped making bangers. My Lord... 😮‍💨

I've been looking for tasteful dance producers for a very long time to spread some love energy on the dance floor.

And obviously Africa was the right place...
where dance music truly began

Here's the first taste from our collaboration, and trust me... many more are coming.

Honestly, I don't think you're ready for this one...
But I'M SO READY!!

P.s
[ALL MY DJ FRIENDS - DM me for mp3, I trust you to spread the rumor! ]

HAPPY SUMMER MY DEARS ❤️ 🌞

The World Cup has given 48 countries a stage. We’re giving their music one too 🏟️🎶

The new expanded format has brought countries like South Africa, Curaçao and Cape Verde into a tournament they might never have reached — and with games kicking off late into the evening, there’s more time between matches than ever to explore something new.

Group A: 🇲🇽 Mexico × 🇿🇦 South Africa × 🇰🇷 South Korea × 🇨🇿 Czech Republic

16 artists. 4 countries. Swipe to discover 👉

#WorldCup2026 #MusicDiscovery #MusicCurator #NewMusic2026 #worldcupmusicfest

🇲🇽 Mexico’s alt-R&B and indie scene is one of the most underrated in the world right now

@tumalamalamx — “Perla del Sur”
@girlultramx — “Pelo”
@itslatinmafia — “No Digas Nada”
@noasainzzz — “Lindo Recuerdo”

Save this slide for your next late-night playlist 🌙

🇿🇦 From Cape Town indie folk to Joburg amapiano — South Africa’s range is unmatched

@alicephoebelou — “Dirty Mouth”
@reaboretladi — “Couldn’t Have Said It Better, Pt.3”
@lordkez — “Real Love”
@filah_lah_lah — “Uzobuya”

4 completely different sounds from one country. That’s the beauty of it.

🇰🇷 Beyond K-pop. Way beyond.

@oceanfromtheblue — “sherlock”
@meenoie — “2+2=4 (Broken)”
@thedeeeep — “Make Up”
@ziorpark — “TWISTED FANTASY”

Korea’s underground R&B and alt-pop scene deserves its own spotlight 🔦

🇨🇿 The most surprising slide in this carousel. Czech Republic is cooking.

@anastazie_breiova — “Kiss & Let Go”
@annetx — “2000s”
@annavaverkova — “Sweet Spot”
@sofianmedjmedj — “FANCY”

R&B from Prague? That’s exactly the point of this series.

Group A — the full lineup at a glance. 16 artists, 4 countries, zero filler.
