Thankful for @allgood_studios and to the New London community for always helping!

Here’s a little BTS of this past weekends creator experience I hosted alongside Isiah during the CT Maritime Heritage Fest.

These experiences are fun and help the City of New London and local businesses have more of a spotlight. But they can be a little stressful if things don’t go smoothly!

… and we all really need them to go as smoothly as possible!! More on that later.

Three LOW EFFORT ways to connect with like-minded people:

1. Follow your industry crowd. There’s TONS of networking events. A lot of fun ones too!

💗 This was the @nycedits4 creative community gathering.

2. Connect with someone you’ve been talking to online, in-person. You’ve done the work to engage with one another over time, now enact a plan for some face time.

💗 My favorite thing to do is invite people I know online to be my +1 when I have extra tickets.

3. FB groups are great for seeing what events are happening. Extend yourself. Someone needs a ride and they’re on the way to the event? Offer the ride! This is how you build your community.

This creator experience was originally designed as a private, invite-only event, but we have ONE spot left so I decided to open it up to one Connecticut creator who wants to join us! ✨

If you’ve been looking to connect with other creators while creating meaningful local content, this is your chance. First come, first served. 🔗 Link in bio.

In partnership with @explorenewlondon, @creatorhousect & @allgood_studios.

Come meet me at the next Content MADE or Creator House event!

I don’t care how many followers you have.
I don’t care how much experience you have.
Just come ready to learn, mingle, and create!

I TRULY believe it is extremely important to help each other grow as creators, particularly within the tourism industry (which includes restaurants, attractions, and events).

The stronger our creator community becomes, the more visibility Connecticut receives. With our content we attract visitors who support our local economy. Literally, when one of us grows, we all benefit.

I decided that I was going to start my own social media marketing business in 2022 after feeling unaligned with local marketing agencies.

I had NO clue what I was getting myself into and the @chamberect happened to launch a program called the Entrepreneur Academy that same year.

This truly set the perfect foundation for me! 🤗

I’ve since gotten an LLC for Socially AcceptID and have worked with dozens of clients including the City of New London and the State of CT. 🤗

If you don’t know where to start with your business, START HERE! This program is also great for those within their first few years in business.

Deadline: August 23rd

What an amazing event, thank you to the @liveconnecticut for hosting such an inspiring CT Content Made event at @saybrookpointresort

It was amazing connecting with creators, tourism leaders, and businesses from across the state who are passionate about showcasing Connecticut through storytelling, content, and community. Proud to have @allgood_studios representing New London and Southeastern CT while sharing more about the upcoming Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival, America’s 250th celebration, the celebration of 50 years of women in the @uscg and the @gardeartscenter 100th year anniversary.

Huge shoutout to @angelafelisaa from @sociallyacceptid an incredible content creator who had a table at the event and continues uplifting local tourism, creators, and small businesses through her work.

The conversations continued afterward during the creator networking meetup at @pennylanepub , where creators from across the region gathered to network, collaborate, and talk about upcoming events and opportunities throughout Connecticut.

Excited for what’s ahead for New London, Southeastern CT, and Connecticut creators as a whole. 💙

Come check out the festival!

Huge thank you to everyone who helped bring the Southeastern CT Clothing Swap to life. ♻️🤍

What started as a simple idea around sustainability and accessibility turned into something truly community-driven. Together, we welcomed over 150 attendees and redistributed dozens of boxes of clothing and essentials to local organizations across Southeastern Connecticut including @safefuturesct , @madonnaplace1 , @trfp24 , @maltainc.99 , @coastalobgynmidwifery , @newlondonrehabandcare , and more.

This event was about so much more than clothes. It created space for connection, mutual aid, creativity, and care for one another. In a world where people are constantly told to consume more, compare more, and throw more away, watching a community gather to freely share resources felt deeply meaningful. Humanity occasionally remembers how to act right. Rare community W.

A heartfelt thank you to @gardeartscenter for sponsoring the space and helping make this possible, along with our incredible partners and supporters:

@theannexnl
@theofficenl
@ethixmerch
@uhaul
@tania.maduro
@angelafelisaa
and everyone else who donated time, energy, clothing, promotion, and support.

We’ve already started reflecting, taking notes, and planning ways to continue growing future swaps and strengthening this movement throughout SECT.

Thank you for showing what community can look like when people lead with generosity. ✨

This past weekends @sectswap was such a beautiful reminder of what community can look like when people come together with open hearts.

From sharing resources, reducing waste, helping families, and rebuilding a little bit of community - this event truly could not have happened without you!

So much love to everyone involved: every volunteer, co-host, sponsor, and human who gave their time, energy, and care to help make this happen.

More to come soon. 🤍
