How do our Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2026 candidates envision their dream kitchens?

@fotile.ph, in collaboration with the @sofadesigninstitute, hosted an interactive design challenge where candidates teamed up with SoFA Interior Design students to put their creativity to the test.

The session kicked off with an insightful talk on kitchen fundamentals and Fotile’s pride in smart kitchen technology. Armed with these new insights on functional layout and smart appliances, the teams refined their initial concepts and presented their final kitchen designs to the room.

A big thank you to the Mr. and Ms. Chinatown 2026 candidates and SoFA students for sharing your passion and creativity with us. It was a true joy to see you reimagine the kitchen as a space for family, culture, and connection with Fotile.

“ZHANG DANCE”

The percussive sounds of a beating drum and movements of a lion is a spiritual defense. A framework made with a thousand knots becomes a symbol of protection and luck. Zhang Dance is my lion dance.

A new addition to The Maker’s Box family!

Yesterday, we officially introduced The Maker’s Box Versa at @sofadesigninstitute!

We’ve been working on this new design for quite some time, and we’re so happy to finally share it with everyone. And to launch it at a school that celebrates creativity and design made the occasion even more memorable!

We also had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with @cricut_ph for a hands-on workshop with SoFA’s interior design and fashion design students. It was such a fun experience exchanging ideas, sharing what we know, and seeing the students get creative with Cricut!

A big thank you to Ms. Angelique and the SoFA team for inviting us and making this collaboration happen. Thank you as well to Nix of Head of Cricut Asia for supporting this partnership, and to our dear friends from Cricut, @create_byamitiels , @gra.fix_designs & @geca.guno for helping us throughout the workshop. We truly appreciate all your support! 💚

We’re excited for what’s ahead for The Maker’s Box Versa, and we can’t wait to show you more of this new design!
