In 2026, I will be taking on the TCS New York City Marathon with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training.

This race means so much to me because my first marathon looked very different. During treatment and recovery, I walked 26.2 miles one hospital hallway lap at a time. What started as small steps became something much bigger: a reminder to keep moving forward, even when the finish line felt far away.

Now, six years later, I am running 26.2 miles through New York City in honor of everyone impacted by blood cancer and in support of the lifesaving work of LLS.

Team Fia has always been about community, hope, and showing up for one another. Every donation, share, and message of support helps carry that same spirit forward.

Sofia is a junior studying Economics with a minor in International Relations. On campus, she also serves as one of the junior class presidents, is a counselor at Camp Kaleidoscope, and a member of Flying Treehouse! In her free time, Sofia likes to run, try new restaurants, go to yoga, and frolic anywhere and everywhere with her best friends.
