Last Sunday was the greatest experience ever. Every single second topped the one before. But one of the highlights was getting to FINALLY meet @novathemermaid and cross her off our mermaid wishlist. And it happened in the most perfect MERmazing way possible! The minute she walked in I gasped, because… like I said, we’ve been wishing F O R E V E R to meet her. We adore her friend @sofianovaauthor ‘s books. And the two of them are VERY close. It took her like a century and a half to see me and come over. But when she did, she immediately handed me her phone with this picture on it. And my whole brain glitched! Eyak got to meet her in Mermaid Land before I did! AND! She recognized him well enough to take a picture, which made us so happy. Thank you Mermaid Nova for this picture, your awesome books, and all the warmth and kindness last weekend. We love you 🤟🏼

If they want to get home, the siblings realize they must join the mermaids and find a way to revitalize the portal before it falls into the wrong hands. Just when all seems to go smoothly, a United States military expedition arrives on the shores of Maradonia and begins their own search for the portal. To make matters even worse, the Dark Realm declares war on the mermaids. Fighting one enemy is bad enough, but contending with two invasive opponents may prove too much for the mermaids. In Maradonia and the Guardians of the Portal, Maya and Joey are in for more trouble than they ever imagined: the ultimate battle for control of the universe.
