“Share the story of Jesus and the Gospel from the Bible in 2 minutes.” When @christianityexploredministries approached us with this task, we were intimidated (but also incredibly excited) by the opportunity to tell this story that has been told millions of times in a fresh way — while keeping the core message clear. Blending every kind of animation we know from cel to 3d, it’s been one of the most challenging projects we’ve worked on to date — made possible by all the amazing designers and animators that partnered with us to make it happen. 📣: @jrcanest 📠: @stefanlgreen, Ali Gledhill, Louanne Enns 📝: @jasminelholmes, Collin Huber, @luiz.canedo 🗣: Thabiti Anyabwile 📣🎨: @gp__design 📣🎞: @jdgstewart 🎨: @gp__design, @sofieleeya, @dougamotion 🎞: @dougamotion, @jdgstewart, @victorclaudiosilva, @manuelneto.co, @josepenatv, @philborst, @jrcanest, @paulslemmer, Victor Ens, @oelle 🎼🔈: @sounds_like_ambrose

Competition makes us faster, Collaboration makes us better 🙏🙏🙏 … by Freelance Motion Designer + Illustrator @sofieleeya & Animator @jriedzz  … Hi guys! I’m really thrilled to share a project that I collaborated with one of my fav awesome super talented animator friend Jon @jriedzz  . Last year, I was invited to create a t-shirt design for School of motion (which you can find right before this post) and the final design got me really excited. As Jon and I were seeking for an opportunity for a fun collaboration, we decided to team up to add a bit more wonderfulness by bringing them into life (which turned out to be a lot more wonderFULLness)!  . And a big special thanks to our music and sound designer Sean who brought this piece even more fun and coooooler! (It was his first time working on a motion piece and it blew my mind!!) . We’ve also done an interview at School of Motion, shared our process breakdown and some other thoughts as well :) . Check out the link in my bio to the interview article . ✍️: Sofie  🎬: @jriedzz  🎹: @sean_____________________smith  📄: @schoolofmotion  . . . . #motiongraphics #motiondesign #illustration #digitalillustration #2danimation #motiongraphic #motiondesigner #animations #motiondesigners #animators #create #creativity #instaart #animationart #animation

Happy Tuezday! @sofieleeya here for Day TWO of my takeover! - I want to talk about my senior film, Dream today which I created with my friend Omid @omidmotion ! It was nearly a year long project, and we both learned an enormous amount while working on this project together. And I am very thankful to him for not giving up and finished with me❤️ - For my senior film, I wanted to tell my story that I could be sympathized with people. I started from reading my daily journal and highlighted the repeated words or sentences. Then I had many me-time deep thinking about what I was really trying to say with the film. And I wrote a visual poem, Lonely Wintry Moon, which I wrote portraying myself losing my existence following this invisible dream. After a few revisions, I was like wow. This is it. I was already able to visualizing some of the scenes and couldn’t help myself but to start collecting references to set the tone and the mood. - We then worked on storyboards together, and I explored developing different styles. Once the style was set, I designed the frames using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and Omid took my file and modeled in C4d and animated using both C4d and AE. - Oh and I want to give a big shout-out to these amazing music and sound designers @thechickensound @sonosanctus . Not only the design and animation, but also the audio was a large part of the charm of the film, and I can’t thank them enough for helping my film🙏🌷 - Link to the full vid: https://vimeo.com/325355987 - Behind the Scenes: https://vimeo.com/316395096 - Check out the stories for WIPs. If you have a question about C4d or animation, I will summon Omid for you :) . . . #motiongraphics #animation #illustration #cinema4d #film #dream #artist #collaboration #aftereffects #digitalart
