Sometimes, achieving your desired style is simply about reimagining the items you already own.

To celebrate the month of February, one lucky winner will enjoy a complimentary two-hour wardrobe edit. During this session, we will evaluate which pieces should be tossed and which ones are ideal for tailoring. Liz, owner of Soft Edit Tailoring and MDS’ concierge tailor, will join us to share her expertise.

After identifying the items that need some tailoring TLC, Liz will take one of your garments for a complimentary edit. All other tailoring needs will receive 20% off each additional item.

Giveaway entries will close on February 5 at 8 AM and the winner will be announced on February 5 at 5 PM EST.

Rules for entering each giveaway may differ each month, so please follow the directions on the monthly giveaway post!

Giveaway services must be performed within 45 days of the giveaway. Otherwise, it will be forfeited.

Some services will only be available for NC residents that live within 30 miles of Raleigh or who are willing to travel to Raleigh. Travel and board are not covered by Melissa or Liz and must be paid by the Client.

After years searching for the perfect fit, I am so excited to announce that Liz, owner of Soft Edit Tailor, will now be available for concierge tailoring during your fittings!

Over the past 9 years I have had the privilege of working with all sizes and body proportions, and wearing ‘off the rack’ has become more challenging to do. So few pieces can be worn without a little tailoring, and I’ve seen my clients pass over GREAT garments because of easy tailoring fixes, the hassle of taking it to the tailor, or because they’re unsure if the tailoring that the garment needs is even feasible. It’s made me sick.

Instead of taking a separate trip to the tailor, I am so excited to have Liz available at your fittings to do on-site tailoring needs. She can be used for shortening hems or sleeves, adding snaps/hook and eyes, taking in pants... or even providing custom needs like designing something new with items you own or vintage pieces you want to modernize.

Again, this has been a DREAM of mine to offer this type of service for you so that everything can be tailored by the time we end your fitting. Finding someone who can really be a partner and offer basic tailoring needs AND more design-centered reworking has been a tough find, but I’ve found her! I am so excited to introduce Liz to you and I hope so many of you will utilize her services and skill.

Liz will have an hourly rate that she spends set up in your home, along with pricing per item.

Finding a fitted shirt off the rack can be difficult -

This is a thrifted BR shirt. I took in the sides & sleeves, shortened the sleeves and added some darts to the back for a slimmer look. No one will ever know! *how will they know*

Baby girls first reel 🥲 OBVIOUSLY heh

Here I tailored a men’s thrifted shirt for a better fit!
•I took in the sides, closed up the armscye a little bit, tapered the sleeves & added a second button on the cuffs for a tighter fit at the wrist.
*of course I forgot a before & after 🤦🏽‍♀️*

It couldn’t be more fitting on him though😎
