OK, so this is a bit special! Our NFTS graduation film THIS IS OURS has been selected to premiere in competition at The Reykjavik International Film Festival! Congratulations to the whole team. What a massive pleasure it was making this together. The festival looks amazing this year - a French focus, an AMAZING lineup of films and some super special guests incl. Isabelle Huppert, Vicky Krieps & Luca Guadagnino. As well as competing for the Golden Egg, I’ve gotten a spot in this years RIFF Talent Lab, where we get to consult on our first time feature projects over four days of masterclasses, pitch sessions, panels and workshops. I need to give the New Zealand Film Commission a huge THANK YOU for supporting me in attending! Inspired by my own family’s refugee history, THIS IS OURS searches for human connection in an oppressive social structure that has developed absurd notions of human value.
