A little staycation at this MICHELIN Guide-recognized boutique hotel in downtown San Diego!

The building once housed animals for the San Diego Zoo, and today, the hotel pays homage to its past with animal-inspired decor and playful design details throughout🐆

& it’s dog-friendly, so @dailygeorgefix got to join in on the staycation fun (and he loved every minute of it)!

Here’s my current coffee rotation. Lately, I’ve been venturing a little further outside San Diego, finding new spots throughout Southern California and down into Mexico.

Some are neighborhood coffee shops, some are worth the drive, and a few are places I stumbled across while traveling. Each one has something that keeps me coming back.

If you’re curious what I order at each spot or what I think they do best, ask in the comments or send me a DM. I’m always happy to share.

I’ve spent the past 7 years working from anywhere and finding a beautiful hotel lobby to tap these laptop keys from never gets old.

During a recent trip to San Diego I checked out the stunning @grangerhotel and tucked into @solanacoffeeco for a delicious Orange Spritz.

☑️The @buoyant.travel work got done.
☑️ The 9-5 work got done.
☑️ I was cozy & felt creative.
